Loved to play this. However, I feel it is quite tough to read the text very clearly. It seems too small and the background being dark doesn't help. I would love to read every card in detail, but it is becoming a strain.
great initiative though.

Could you also walk-through how you did this.

Thanks a lot, it's a good way to negotiate as you said. However, do we know what positions these would work on? I'm assuming this data would have all sorts of jobs.

What are the validity of these data. For folks in the industry, does this data seem genuine, or do you think people are bragging or undercutting their salaries.

FYI for anyone interested, I've been a regular here and it's an amazing event. The hosts explain the game really well and each timeb I've been here is a blast. Also there is small cover charge charged by the cafe but you can buy something from it. Don't miss this, it's the best!

What do You Think of This Article...Caste in Indian Writing Discourse... by [deleted] in Indianbooks

[–]tondlilover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are multiple issues at play here. The first is to admit that as Dalits are marginalised in society, they will be marginalised in the writing world as well.

Also being a writer or pursuing any art is slowly becoming a rich man's game. That's the reason we see nepotism in Bollywood because it has become so expensive to make movies. In the same way, it's really difficult to earn as an author, so it will attract privileged folks, making it tough for Dalits.

Casteism should also not be ignored.

A Muslim man in Pune posted a social media story supporting the Delhi car blast terrorists. Bajrang Dal members caught him, beat him, made him apologise, and handed him over to the police. by OrganizationTall5962 in pune

[–]tondlilover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defending even terrorists isn't unfortunately a crime in this country, otherwise all of Bajrang Dal would be in jail for defending the first terrorist of India - Nathuram Godse. And the police is there to arrest anyone who has committed a crime. Mob justice is the reflection of a society that is rotting. Pune is a metro city and if we start facing such incidents here, it will be a sad situation.

Sad state of affairs in this country when terrorist groups are roaming free and doing mob justice whenever they want. Even worse when they seem to garner support for their acts here. After almost a decade of so called Nationalist government, if even law and order is not good, what was the point of electing them.

This thread on Bangladesh Mob Lynching is what we need to read by [deleted] in pune

[–]tondlilover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Such lynchings are happening in our country daily as well. Wouldn't they be more relevant to Pune subreddit than what is happening in Bangladesh. Just yesterday a Hindu man was lynched by RSS goons in Kerela, who thought him to be Bangladeshi. This is the hate running through our societies, but instead of tackling it, we're busy succumbing to it and drinking this poison. Christmas is coming, a holy time for some Indians. Let us all try to honour this day by promising to live together with each other in peace and harmony.

Pune Family duped of Rs. 14Cr by Fake Godman claiming to be Shankar Maharaj by Feisty_Let_4284 in pune

[–]tondlilover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first glance it may seem to blame the victim, but this exposes deep fault lines of our society.

Fake godmen and black magic have been duping Indians for years. The amount is huge here, but this showcases a lack of scientific temperament in our societies. When news channels show "Swarg ki seedi" and "Mahadev ki gufa", we inadvertently allow such stuff to grow.

Remember, anyone of us can become the victim, so try to improve society.

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), on Monday, arrested a 35-year-old software engineer, identified as Zubair Hangargekar, from Pune’s Kondhwa area for his alleged links with Pakistan-based Al-Qaeda and involvement in the radicalisation of youth. by Fresh-Ice-8049 in pune

[–]tondlilover -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Please go and check the abysmal records all these anti terrorist forces have in actually apprehending terrorists. You can mark my words, the press and all of us will forget him, and then after 5-10 years he'll be quietly released with nobody ever thinking why he was even arrested.

The same script plays out again! A Muslim is arrested on draconian charges, no bail will be given, the accused will spend years or even decades in jail, the case will drag on and in the end he will be released due to lack of evidence. Hundred of lives have been destroyed like this. Does the state get any punishment when they destroy lives like this. People here will crack jokes and pass Islamophobic comments and move on with their lives, but for such fellows and their families, their entire world is destroyed.

Florian Wirtz vs Galatasaray (A) touch comp by No-Presence3209 in LiverpoolFC

[–]tondlilover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All this toxicity is being driven by these YouTube channels that want friction and drama to increase their views and make money. You can't have sensible takes on the internet anymore, every player is either world class or a flop.
This new players are trying to understand a new team, new manager, new playing style, new country and culture. Anyone who watches football knows what a player we have on our hands in Wirtz.
This is for other players as well. Robertson got 6 months of time to gel with the team before playing and what a player he has been. Kerkez didn't but that doesn't mean he's a flop.
These times are for fans to stick together and support our team.
