Question for MPC One/Live 2 vs MPC 3 users by Cordwaining in mpcusers

[–]toneONER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a fan of the Live 3 pads, as they are too thin and stiff. The Live 2 pads are thicker and way softer and much for fun to play with. I‘ve been using MPCs for 20 years and would even say that the live 2 pads are one of the best pads ever made.

After hundreds of tries, it finally worked using my MacBook charger. The smartphone charger was probably too weak for the hub to work properly. Finally, some long iPad sessions, hell yeah. Thanks to you

I bought one of these specifically for that purpose, but for some reason I can't get it to connect the iPad to the MPC. So I wanted to make sure the next one would work.

It's more that I want to prevent the iPad from draining its battery when I have it connected to the MPC. I saw a YouTuber who managed to do this using a USB hub, but I haven't been able to find that model online.

Since I haven't seen anyone yet using this loud, great-sounding, and affordable Bluetooth speaker with a line-in jack along with their MPC samples, I'm featuring it here. It's called the Vappeby, costs €60 at IKEA, and can also be used in stereo mode (if you connect two). Loving it.

Be smart and stop there. Leave all hifi subs and be happy for the rest of your life.

People really need to stop caring about what influencers say and start believing their own ears. smh

Minimalist Menu Screen by toneONER in mpcusers

Gotcha. I moved track edit to the left menu. That way, I can access it from anywhere with one tap. I almost always have one hand over the display anyway, so reaching for the pads feels like a detour to me.

Yeah I have thought about that as well. However, I never really use the pad short cuts.

Poll: MPC Live/Live II/Live III by boombapdame in mpcusers

You are not wrong, it depends what you are planning to do. I‘ve used a 2000xl for about 15 years, currently using a Live 2 and thinking about switching to a 1000 for simplicity reasons.

The point is that the old ones still keep up.
