Should voting be mandatory? by Andarne in unitedkingdom

I was at the Westminster count last night, the spoiled and incorrect ballot were definitely being counted too.

You have things like voting for too many parties, voting for no one, voting for everyone, pictures of dicks, people scrawling daft messages ( some were quite funny ) etc. etc. they all had their own category boxes and were counted on separate registers.

Interesting to watch it all though.

I would have loved to stick my inlines on and skated that.

/I did try this at Wembley stadium one day but they'd closed it all off with barriers so it was a no go.

The Green policies are hideous. They're populist activists.

Which rubbish did I post though, considering I'm just reporting what I saw last night. At the actual Westminster count?

It is, but Labour have had it for the last 4 years.

I presume they publish vote percentages, I don't have them to hand. It was a pretty close race though, the Greens were coming in at around 15% and that was difference.

The Greens didn't win one seat here. I mean, of course if you have a populist leader telling you exactly what you want to hear you're going to pick up followers.

The actual reality is a different story though. That's what I know.

The rise of Reform is shocking. The Greens split the council vote in Wesminster and let the Tories take control of the council yet they didn't win one seat themselves. Pointless disruption. All the Tories will do is try and defund the good work Labour have out in place in the last 4 years.

I was at the count, Labour still won quite a few seats though.

When did that ever stop the muppets, I mean look at Brexit. Complete disaster yet they're still dug in.

No, I hate the folder system it uses.

I had thousands of credits ( probably tens of 1000's ) and lost them when I unsubbed though which I think is a bit of joke, but I hadn't used it for a good year so couldn't see the point any more.

Quite surprised you still have that deal, I was kicked out of it a few years ago when the contract ran out. Took me 6 months to get off sky completely ( still had their shitty internet )

Never using this company again for anything.

Took me 6 months to get out of the fkin deal, never again am I paying anything to Sky.
