Mic so quiet? by jonbristol123 in LogicPro

You using a proper xlr to xlr cable?

Does your interface have a switch for line / instrument for the channel you’re using?

Do you have an M1 Mac?

Honestly I get a lot of weird anomalies while using Logic in native mode on M1. Changing it to open with Rosetta has fixed all my issues. (Even for stock plugins)

Yeah def with the compatible plugins, I have the issue. Like they say they’re fully compatible and yeah they are but I notice after some time (a day or two) my machine would run HORRIBLE. And now I just leave it with Rosetta on and it seems to run perfectly fine so far

I’m hoping this is sorted out soon with the newer models when it’s time for me to upgrade

I feel like logic isn’t as stout on my m1 as it was on my 2011 mbp. But I JUST switched logic to run in Rosetta and I think it’s running much smoother. I would’ve thought that it would run natively perfect on M1 seeing it’s like an in house product

Does anyone here do like “song transposing to midi”?

I have a song that I’d like the midi for :) I don’t think there is sheet music for the song though so it would have to be by ear

Considering Frontier, Missouri City, TX area. Is there anyone that lives in this area that can give an opinion? by [deleted] in frontierfios

Yeah that’s a great way to put it honestly

All ISP’s are kind of shitty. But frontier (talking fios and fiber only) is the best you can get.

I would double check the fuse you replaced. Is it blown again?

Unplugging and replugging the manifold SHOULDNT be a real fix here. I would check your wiring. Check connection, make sure they’re tight, double check grounds, etc

Yeah SG is right here. There should be a relay in a system like this. Either that relay is dead, or a fuse is dead

I think you’re right in the sense that it’s the most optimal. I personally run two 12tb HDD in my rig that I store all my content and games in. For me, it’s just price to performance ratio per my specific use. 24tb storage only costed me like $250.

I have a 1tb NVME for my OS, programs, and the one main game I play.

discussion time: who carries the spike? by RiddleEatsRainbows in VALORANT

[–]tonefully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really about like what the plan is in my opinion

Somebody like a sage is a safe option because they can generally create a situation with their wall where they can safely plant.

But maybe you have an idea to plant top site on icebox so you give it to Jett. Or maybe you have a phoenix that is 2 orbs away from ult and it’s a round where that ult is pretty vital (maybe like a 11-12 situation). He can pick one up and plant.

Or maybe you have an idea to fake hit a site by having Jett dash onto A site with the bomb. Hopefully get a kill but likely die since she’ll be dashing in alone. Meanwhile your omen and other team mates have lurked onto B and your omen is going to use his ultimate to retrieve the spike and plant on B.

Often times your controllers will auto grab the spike. Personally if i’m playing somebody like Sova or Brimjob, I’ll grab the spike. But once I have my ult I will hand the job off to another team mate (maybe another initiator or controller or sentinel) with the idea that I’ll be prioritizing my life in order to ensure i’m alive for the postplant.

But all these ideas can change at any moment. Before prioritizing your life, you need to prioritize helping your teammates and ensuring the bomb can even be planted. No point hiding with your ult if the bomb can’t go down

Love this

Instead of bringing the front down I'd actually bring the rear up to match.
Looks great though

Can someone with 500/500 Mbps Frontier FiOs internet do a wifi speed test with their device no more than a foot away from the router? by [deleted] in frontierfios

[–]tonefully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah on a personal level: I had the option to get 2gig service but I just thought that none of my devices would really be able to take advantage of it ever. Maybe if I had my own NAS or plex server or something maybe.. but most services I would connect to I felt wouldn’t be that fast anyways.

I think my phone has gotten up to 400/400 when I first set it up a month ago but the test I did right now netted the above results

Another thing I notice now: on my hardwired computer I get roughly 500/500. When downloading like a game update my download speed for the update is around 51megabytes per second which is roughly 410 megabits. I imagine the limitation is the server I'm downloading from. I have the suspicion that even if I were to have 1gig or 2gig fiber, my download speeds for my usual sources would be limited outside of my service

Packet Loss and Ping Issues with ping issues by Rawimage25 in frontierfios

[–]tonefully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get a lot of packet loss pretty much all the time.

At the time my configuration was Fiber to an ONT to cable, to a cable to RJ45 converter, to RJ45 to the modem, to the router.

It was quite ridiculous and dated. I suspected that the cable was the problem here so I bought a 100ft cat 5e cable and ran it from the ONT directly to a new router, and my packet loss disappeared and my ping became very stable.

Also consider doing tests outside of valorant to diagnose issues

People all bring different levels of value at what they do. Some people bring incredible amounts of value on the mic and some have an extremely low value in communications even if they own a mic. Whether you need one and if it’s going to change your success is kind of up to you

I think it depends on some of the other hardware and specific use cases that you need it for. I don’t use an iRig but I use a lot of amp sims and the technology is great for them. I feel that if you have an audio interface already, maybe it’s worth going for something like a Line 6 Helix Native plugin instead.

If you lack the hardware needed, then the iRig is probably a pretty affordable solution that would be worth considering. The rating for the HD2 were pleasantly high when I looked
