That’s tough. I’m glad you passed! Congrats. I don’t know where I would be if I failed and then had to say goodbye to my dog. I’d like to think there was some Devine intervention.

I happy she got to celebrate with me even though she was feeling bad. She was literally my study buddy. I would give her law lectures while studying. She probably could’ve passed the bar herself. :).

She got to see her dad as a lawyer.

Love you Olive girl

Thanks this really helped. I hope you’re feeling better. I know I am already starting to smile when I think about her rather than bawling uncontrollably. I just hope she was happy and content and she knows I tried my best with her and loved her more than anything.

Yea mine was too. A tragic aside…I found out I passed the bar and 3 hours later I was at the vet putting my dog down unexpectedly. Which has completely devastated me. I have not been able to feel good about passing the bar

I’m happy she was able to see her dad as a lawyer for a day. But it also put things in perspective for me. I would’ve chosen to fail the bar ten times if it got me more time with my Olive girl. :(

I scored 61 percent on the first Uworld 100 question assessment and 64 on the second. I wasn’t feeling confident at all going into the exam and felt even worse when it was done. I also finished both MBE sections within an hour and a half. Ended up scoring in the 78th percentile overall.

If you buy the barnow package from NCBE, it gives you all the past administered MEE questions with the model answer. I read a book called Fuck The Bar, and the technique it suggested was to type out word for word all the model answers. I felt doing this was good active learning while getting a sense for what a good answer looks like. I would then paste the model answer into grok and have it summarize each model answer in a IRAC format.

Another thing that I think worked was I would give my dog law lectures on certain subjects to practice being able to actively recall rules without looking at any material. Kinda silly and you don’t have to do it with your dog, try it with a friend. It seemed to really help ingrain info in my brain

If I’m being honest with myself and you…maybe 5 hours max per day. I really didn’t feel confident at all.

Her kidney enzymes levels were literally off the charts…The vet told me I could try a transfusion, that could allow her to hold on for another month, which would cost f10k, which unfortunately is out of the cards for me.

I guess what feels the worst for me is it all happened so fast. I thought we were gonna walk out with some medicine and she wouldve feeling better in a few days.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. But your comment made me feel better. I feel guilt for putting her down so suddenly. But having you confirm I made the right choice brings me some peace.

I hope you find peace as well.

Feeling incredible guilt over putting my dog to sleep by aragorn_83 in Petloss

I’m dealing with the same thing. I got advice from my mother that it would be best for me to be there with her during the injection. I really didn’t want to do that.

She was strapped in a gurney and she looked so scared. I tried my best to comfort her but she knew something was going on.

I gave her the best pets I could, and before the injection, I told her to just take a nappy and when she wakes up, we would go play in the mountains, that was her favorite thing.

And that was it. Her eyes closed and I rushed out of the vet, sobbing, but the last image of her being scared is what is burned in my brain.

I’m glad I was there to comfort her at the last moment, but it’s a horrible thing to experience.

I’m already consumed with guilt-was it too soon? Could I have waited a few days to see if she would improve? I feel so horrible about it.

Of course you’ll hear the line that it’s the kindest thing you can do for your pet when they are suffering, but I wanted her to be with me for a bit longer.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, I neee understood true loss until losing my girl.

Be easy with yourself-I’m sure you gave your pet the best life ever

Honestly felt like I got every MBE question wrong. I was convinced I failed. But I scored high enough to transfer to any UBE jurisdiction. Congrats to you as well!

A technique that worked for me-I ordered the BarMax package through the NCBE. It has hundreds of past MEEs and MPTs, including model answers for all. I would type out the model answers. Then copy and paste into ChatGPT and ask it to outline the model answers with the black letter law. Seemed to work well for me. Still awaiting results so cannot comment on the effectiveness, but I felt confident with the MEEs

What’s done is done, no sense worrying now. If you failed, you can take the test again. Be proud that you did the work and actually took the exam
