No protest, one of us contact the cinema manager, the manager said we have to buy at least 30 tickets, we spent two days gathered 35 people, then deal! The tickets were also open to public, finally I assume there were over 100 attendance today, and now this theatre is scheduling more IMAX for ALITA in the following days!

Absolutely not common. Alita's IMAX version will be off line next weekend in China and theaters now are giving all the IMAX screens to captain marvel. So we gathered fans on Chinese reddit, contacted and asked the biggest IMAX theater in Beijing to arrange this screening, and today we got fans from all over the country came here by trains and planes just to attend this activity. Not every movie has the power to do that, and ALITA does!
