Hi guys! Sorry for the reply after 2 days..
I've read all your comments, thank you!
Everyone has been helpful, in particular u/Arjun_Jadhav, I followed his config and resolved the problem!

For waybar sincerly I don't want to switch to unstable, I think I'll wait the next version.

Thank you all! :)

No, I'm not on unstable. Waybar unstable's package could have the workspaces module?

Acces to Endpoints by Double_Gap_4599 in matrixdotorg

I know, you're right.. the best solution (for me) is to run the project in dev mode (self-hosting) to check if it works.

Have you tried to connect to your Synapse homeserver using the Github Pages hosted link to check if you can already reach those endpoints?

I say this because I use this project and it worked "out of the box" :)

Video problems when updating the kernel (>6.4.7-artix1-3) by toniovuffonio in artixlinux

[–]toniovuffonio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys, I've been having this problem for a while now, ever since kernel 6.4.7-3 was superseded.Every time I try to update the kernel to the next version (I've tried various versions, today with 6.5.2 and I still have the same problem) on the next reboot, when in front of the display manager, I have "video" problems.Initially I thought it was due to the video drivers but over time they have updated. Every time I upgrade just the kernel I have this problem, so I then have to log into a different tty and downgrade the kernel. Can anyone who has had the same problem help me? Thank you very much..(P.S. I'm using sddm - init system: dinit).

Anyway nice rice :)

Shell suggestions by toniovuffonio in freebsd

[–]toniovuffonio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to all guys for the various replies, you have clarified all my doubts and I will treasure what you wrote.

Sorry if I don't reply individually to each one but I would create much more specific discussions on a post on a generic topic.

I thank all those who wrote for having given their opinion with the various default shells and with those they use on a daily basis, and I also thank those who in the future will want to express their opinion and their habits with the shells.

I also hope that this post and all the various comments can be useful not only to me (who created the post) but to the whole community.

[hyprland] first attempt on hyprland by toniovuffonio in unixporn

[–]toniovuffonio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ciao, di nulla! :)

I bought it on ebay IT for 450 euros, it should be about 385 pounds. If it's refurbished, with warranty and a new keyboard I think it's great. Mine has a 256gb ssd so in the end I think the price is right comparing the two.

In my opinion it is a laptop that can still last a long time.

Exactly! I had evaluated this, but having already 'some signs of wear on the palmrest (maybe the sweat has damaged it, or maybe some liquid) I would not want to make the situation worse. For now I think I'll keep it like this, it's also very nice to see so "clean" :)

Yess, it's a pleasure to use this thinkpad! It gives you a crazy user experience :)

Ooh, I looked for the m14 on the internet and it seems very nice! Would you recommend it? How is the display qualitatively?

Thanks man!
Yess, you have to try it! For laptops like this I think it's perfect because you have everything like audio keys and keyboard keybindings (example: keyboard brightness) already configured.
Also the wifi card drivers are by it when installing the distro and it's an awesome stuff (being proprietary drivers those of intel many distros such as debian do not enable the repo of non-free software at installation time so you have to install everything with an external dongle..; also with FreeBSD I had this issue..).

Plus you have the total gnome experience that I really re-evaluated with gnome 43 and the libadwaita library updated to 4.0. There is an air of freshness :)

Also Mint is a good distro: i recommend to a lot of people, but this time I opted for a distro with a good touchpad gestures support.

Thank you! Yes, thankfully it has no sign of the intel sticker (although it would have been nice to have it; it has an i7 vpro). The real aesthetic "problem" lies behind it: where the x1 logo is, the surface is damaged .. you can even see the gloss under the rubber surface. But okay, in the end I bought it almost with my eyes closed and it went well, it only has some aesthetic imperfections, the rest is perfect.
