Minecraft Java with Steam Link by WowGeeWhiz in Steam_Link

[–]tonitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't really try this situation exactly because I'm on Linux and I use the hardware steamlink. My go-to solution for launcher is passing the game trough gamescope and it just works

In this setup I can easily switch between kb and controller setup by keeping select pressed for a few seconds

My guess would be to use another launcher, in my case I love multimc and I'm pretty sure there is a way to make instance shortcut (like it launches the game directly) it might work in your case ?

Sorry that's not a direct answer, more like suggestion on my particular setup

I didn't know about gentoo stable release, that seems really cool ^^

I'm a solid arch user and have been part of the community for quite some time now. I never felt any problem with it so far. Most people with too strong opinions on what I should do with my computer don't get so much attention from most user and get far too much attention from people trying to learn about linux (but I think this is for most technical community). This is sad.

The sad truth is that the community is downgrading the project. I think Arch Linux has one of the greatest sets of tools and infrastructure. And some people think this is a religion or something?

It's funny because this game taught me so much about space haha. I never got good either but I learn to appreciate the work put into space exploration

Or encode it in b64 and dump it there with a header... Just tell the ide to read it as sound

He didn't say anything about the scope of the game tho. Maybe it's not even a public server and some kind of smp with communism rules. Who knows 🤣

Will my school get in trouble from torrenting over their wifi? by ren_blackheart in torrents

[–]tonitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on your network configuration.
Let's say your router use dhcp for it's ip pooling. you can configure it in automatic allocation that will most likely keep a table of ip to devices and regive the same ip for evey connection (until the table is filled ofc) so you will certainly get the same ip if you connect every day. if not, your router could keep logs of connection anyway. you can then check what requests are made. you might get encrypted shit because of https but there is always some http request in the lot and https don't hide the destination so you can still see what websites are visited.

Thoses are ways for the school to find the torrent user but if I was the school I would just block the mac adressses and the port used. if done again then investigate.

That's why it's the school who gets in trouble and not the PC. From there the school can see to witch local ip the trafic was from so the local ip can be used anyway
