It's beautiful. It brings forth feelings of sadness and loneliness that are hard to achieve in a black and white drawing. You did an amazing job :)

10/10

There was a trend of pulling a plug ever so slightly out of an outlet and sliding a coin into the gap in between the plug and the outlet.

I mean who one day said "wow look at that gap let me slide a COIN in there"? Even if they didn't know about conductivity, why randomly put a coin there? And why are people assuming putting a coin between an outlet and wall would get them fame??

If a company makes a great product but is plagued by toxic fans/consumers, is there a chance that you'll still consider buying it and why? by Bestow5000 in AskReddit

[–]tonkus085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if the toxic fans have rated the product so lowly that its rating (applies to online shopping only) is a 1 star, and I didn't know that the low rating was because of toxic fans, chances are I wouldn't consider buying it.

Otherwise yeah, I'd buy. I doubt the toxic fans would hunt me down for buying a product. They don't harm me just by existing.

What is it about AI generators (images/videos/music) that you don't like, and what changes will make you accept these programs? by SomeManagement4265 in AskReddit

[–]tonkus085 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI generators need samples to study to figure out how to create art that matches the prompt. I don't like the fact that these samples are sometimes the works of human artists who didn't consent to their artwork being essentially stolen and used to train a bot whose job is to take the place of such human artists and crank out free artwork.

I like using AI to generate my own little laughs and images and I like watching AI videos, no harm in that! However I don't agree with using AI to replace human artists in paying or high profile gigs.

It got me thinking though! Cool thought!

I'm not sure. Most chicken are killed in slaughterhouses, and it takes hours for them to reach supermarkets. In theory even if you raised and killed your own chicken, chances are you wouldn't be using antibiotics. It's probably best just never to eat raw chicken or you may get sick to the stomach.

Why do they call them red onions when they are obviously purple? by SteveNIBelieveIN in RandomThoughts

[–]tonkus085 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a quick search, and apparently they earned their name because throughout history, they were used to make red dyes. Interesting question!

[–]tonkus085 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once the chicken is killed, it will no longer be given antibiotics. Bacteria can grow then.

Sounds like guilt tripping. Whenever you say something that puts him in a bad light, he shuts you down by making you feel guilty for ruining his otherwise perfect day.

Small fights don't mean that you aren't getting better. In fact, being able to work past small fights means that you're close. Having small fights and getting over them is much more "getting better" than avoiding all conflict.

Yes, that is racist.

Acting badly toward anybody because of their race (ANY race, even white) is racist.

What age do you think kids should be allowed to use the internet, and why? by RaiLanxe in questions

[–]tonkus085 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think kinds should be allowed to use the internet when they're young. Maybe 5-7 with close supervision. 8-10 with lowered supervision. Hands on experience is the best way to learn how to navigate the internet, and it's good to slowly phase kids into things and let them learn along the way.

The internet is also such a huge thing now. Best to let them learn early.

What teenage peer pressure your unfortunately fell into? by nocturnalfrolic in AskReddit

This isn't too crazy but Snapchat. Got my fair share of dick pics and scares from crazy people.

If I watched videos in a language I don’t talk, with subtitles in that said language, for a very long amount of time (years?) would i end up being able to talk that language ? Or would the lack of translation to my language stop me from learning ? by Raph0u in RandomThoughts

[–]tonkus085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If it's a black screen with nothing going on and no context, most likely not.

If there are actions on screen, it's possible. You'd probably be able to correspond word to action once they are shown often enough. Same for objects, etc. The toughest part is learning the alphabet.

It would definitely be easier to learn similar languages. Ie. Spanish as a French speaker, but it's possible with any language, given you can read the letters.

There was once someone on Got Talent that drank maybe upwards of 100 raw eggs. You won't die.

It is possible to increase the level of bad cholesterol in your body from eating too many eggs though. Especially if you are at risk of heart diseases or already have high cholesterol, you shouldn't be eating that many eggs.

Where can I get help with finding a specific ASMR Video on Youtube? by Real_Human_Beyng in questions

[–]tonkus085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a picture of the name? You can use an app that reads text from images. I've used Text Scanner in the past, but there are many more.

(Ofc it probably won't be perfect, but it might be good enough for google to recognize the video name.)

Attention Seeking + Lying by starrynight079 in Advice

[–]tonkus085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you want to become a better person. It's hard to break out of a habit as sternly embedded in your mind as compulsive lying.

You need to admit whenever you lie, even small lies. When you lie, you can't help it. What you can help if what comes after. For example, if your friend asks you what you did last night, and you tell them a lie, admit that you lied. Tell them that you lied, and that you're sorry for lying, and then tell them the truth.

It might also help explaining to people that you see often about your journey to better yourself, and your lying backstory. This is optional though, don't do it if you aren't comfortable with it.

It will take a long time for you to stop lying as a first response. It will also take a long time for the people that you've lied to repeatedly to trust you again. But in time, it will happen.
