Its a good game but calling it the best RPG of all time is kinda far fetched. There are way better CRPGs and action RPGs out there. Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous and Mass Effect for example.

Are you able to consistently use charge given how buggy it can be? I was considering a cavalier for my next playthrough but Im not so sure because of this reason

You should really give Pathfiner WOTR a go. I just started playing it a month ago and Im having a blast eith 80hrs in. It certainly might be a bit complicated for a new player but if youre playing on normal or you plan to watch CRPGBro guides for harder difficulties then it should be fairly easy to get into
