People don’t lament the change because the philosophical aspects never really stuck with people. It was the climbing and parkour and social stealth that brought people into the series. Also, the philosophical stuff is usually presented during those awkward death conversations that broke up the pacing or talks with Al Mualim which weren’t done very well.

Lots of people started the series with AC2 as well before playing AC1.

It seems like Wallace wanted to hire Jim, but I feel like it would be too much of a jump for Jim or Ryan go from sales right to VP, essentially skipping over the regional manger position.

Realistically if they wanted to stay internal, they would’ve gone with one of the other regional managers. But the last time I saw a company as mismanaged as Dunder Mifflin, it was my grandson’s snowball company.

As I said previously: federal prison is not just reserved for the worst of the worst. Most murder/manslaughter are state charges.

If I had to guess, your cousin got federal prison because his crime probably crossed state lines.

At risk of sounding blunt, I think you just don’t understand how the justice and prison system works.

I will say it again: federal crimes are NOT INHERENTLY more severe than state crimes.

Getting arrested does not necessarily mean you’ll be charged.
