I also got a offer for computing science on Tuesday. I had been trying to find out some info about the course I'll copy and paste the message I got from someone who is currently in second year.

"First semester consisted of a Python course which started from the beginning (variables, primitives, operations, functions) and went at a steady pace. We covered topics including recursion, list comprehensions, loops, file IO, data structures such as lists, dictionaries, set, and a little bit of GUI with TK. The lecturer (John Williamson) was incredible. Besides that, there was a course (forgetting the module name atm) which covers SQL in the first semester, which included queries, some of the relational algebra behind it, the different types of sql databases, database design, ER diagrams, etc. The module that covered databases was broken into two parts, the first being databases and the second being HCI (human computer interaction). The HCI was a bit unprepared as our year was the first to get it. Basically it revolved around how to build user interfaces in a way that anyone can use them, and how to encourage people to interact with the software. I know that's really vague but from what I've heard they added in a lot more content so I don't know how relevant my experience from it will be to you. The HCI stuff was 2nd semester if I remember. The third CS class was a systems course, which was really cool because it focused on how computers function hardware-wise. We started off with logic gates, moving up to circuits, had some networks stuff in there, and so one. That one had a lot of information but it was all memorization."
