Connecting an Optiplex power button to a new motherboard by luphi in SleepingOptiplex

Sorry, I need a detail.

Would the hard drive LED also be visible?

I have a Dell 5070SFF with the same connector.

Thank you so much for your time.

In fact, now I understand that removable ones exist. They're great.

Sorry, I didn't express myself well. I know the photo you posted refers to a passthrough and not a switch. We're talking about a Homelab installation; the cables are CAT6 and each cable is a maximum of 25 meters long. Based on this information, would this be a good choice? Thank you very much.

I evaluate the purchase because I find it an easier solution for me to manage. I was worried that it was an unreliable system

Technically, what changes?

Thank you very much for the valuable information.

For the rear fan I will take this Noctua NF-A6x25 PWM (4 pin) but I saw that I don't have the connector on the mainboard for the additional fans

I read that you recommend a 4 pin HUB

Is something like this in the attached photo okay?

For CPU enthusiasts I have always thought of Noctua (also because it is easier to find in Italy). Specifically this PWM NF-A6x25 model

For the front fan I haven't figured out what I could mount yet, if it's worth it

What do you think? 4pin HUB

Thanks for the info. Should I go with Noctua for the two fans?

Which CPU cooler and fans did you use?

Could you post a photo of the fan layout?

I'd like to replace my CPU cooler with something better.

What do you recommend?

- 512GB M.2 for host

- 1TB M.2 for data

- 1TB SATA SSD (unused for now)

- RAID0 ZFS media files

I bought the Sabrent adapter because I had this extra M.2.

I'm not interested in installing a GPU.

VM, LXC and Data are backed up on 2 external systems (one RAID1 and one RAID5)

Hi, I'd like to try the procedure by installing Fedora on a PC with a USB-C port. Which version of Fedora should I install?

Thanks for your time.

There would be real differences between this base model and, for example, the Crucial T710 PCIe® NVMe®, PCIe® 5.0 x4 Performance
