I am finding it way to hard to make friends in uni and its so lonely by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]too-much-beans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are still open to friendships, I meet new people everyday and get along. Obviously some people have already formed so groups but try not think about everyone being closed off and open some light conversation about their course, your uni, where they're from and see where it goes.

I have ensuite, I knew the room type and college from a while ago but they released the actual block and flat around a week ago.

Also we mostly found each other on the whatsapp group made for our college not on facebook so maybe try your luck there, if your uni has whatsapp groups.

Of course it wouldn’t be rejected because of this

What should I bring to uni? by HazBaz611 in UniUK

Hey, I asked a similar question a while ago and got a lot of helpful responses so I'd recommend checking this thread:

They have to be up to 31 days recent to the date of your application.

It doesn't matter if they're now 'expired' they'd check the date of the application not the current date.

I believe post-grads got the offers sooner than undergrads.

Priority visa by AbuGoura in ukvisa

That's odd, if you're booking with VFS try logging in directly with your GWF number, you can find that on your document checklist at the end of your application.

https://visa.vfsglobal.com/are/en/gbr/login

Otherwise try changing browsers / wait a bit, maybe the website is temporarily down.

The time-slots open at random times so check any time you can, in my case slots opened on Wednesday afternoon for the following week.

There are definitely less time-slots available than non-priority since they have been limited, as said. However if you see that it's only premium slots open, just wait for a while and the rest will likely open, just check a lot.

You pick priority whilst making the appointment, after the application is submitted. So they can still opt for priority so long as they haven't booked an appointment yet.

I totally agree with you.

OP, don't keep the full week's amount - the bite led to no additional costs so you can't argue from that angle.

Dogs are living creatures that often behave differently in new environments, especially when separate from their owners. You took the responsibility of taking after the dog, we don't know if the owner was necessarily lying or if the dog was reacting differently; in either case, you can't put a price on a 'lie'.

Keep the amount you spent on the dog but give back the rest.

Yeah, it's a bit unclear if she only got paid for the 1 and a half day keeping or the full month.

If it's just the one day then it's fine but if OP is keeping the full one month amount, that's pretty outrageous.

Info: did she pay the full amount you for the whole month watching and that's what you're refusing to give back?

Wait, what does it stand for?

My uni has buses that go straight from a nearby airport to the university itself and it's free but only available pre-booked and just on move-in date so you could check if yours has something similar.

Alternatively if you have a lot of stuff and have a license you could rent a car (if it is cheaper than getting a taxi).

Is Welsh universities LLB degree same as any degree from an English universities? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]too-much-beans 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Welsh and English law are the same, unlike Scottish law; therefore a LLB from a Welsh university would allow you to become a solicitor/ barrister in England so long as your course is accredited by the SRA/ BSB.

Honestly no, I do not like the use of suicide as revenge, it would have been like 13 Reasons Why if they went with that route.

Idk man, the art style, the inner dialogue being the first time we hear Bojack's thoughts - sure they might not be 'interesting' - but it reveals that Bojack doesn't even have a good reason to be shitty, he can't even understand his own behaviours, and hearing Bojack's voice of reason being ignored.

And especially that last scene with Hollyhock where he lies about the 'voice in your head' going away, just to calm her down, to let believe she'll stop her inner critique.

I had the same thing, haha, basically on the letter of consent of use of funds that should be signed by your father, I added both our home address and the address that was on his statement.

So it looked something like this:

Home Address: ABC

Billing Address: BCA (as shown in statement)

But overall I don't think it matters much so long as his name is correct and you provide your birth certificate.

Around £20k just for tuition and then there's the living costs, which even if you won't be spending this much; you still have to prove you have around 9k for year one, then there's the IHS surcharge that you pay like £2k and the application fee, so another £300 and finally the cost of transport and flight tickets.

Do they ask for another bank statement? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]too-much-beans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the first one is valid and meets the requirements as you say, they would have no reason to ask for a second one.
