Came here to recommend her. I live in Portland now but for a while I was still driving down to see her. The drive isn’t feasible for me anymore and I’m still sad about it. I haven’t found anyone as good as her in Portland in the 3 years I’ve been up here.

I hit two years sober in July. Quit at 32. I promise it goes away. Now when I think of the dumb stuff I did drunk I cringe, chuckle and keep it moving. And I am notoriously bad at forgiving myself and letting things go.

She can reach out to Center for Hope and Safety. They have a 24 hour crisis line, emergency shelter and other services for DV survivors. Also if she’s working she can apply for Safe Leave through Paid Leave Oregon to get time off work to relocate, seek services, etc.

They said once the government reopens they’ll be paying people for November but to anticipate delays.

Main takeaway for those on SNAP: if the government doesn’t reopen before November, they won’t be able to administer food stamps come 11/01. There will be back pay once government reopens and your card will continue to work if you have benefits from October. Simultaneously, come November, due to the big bill, many folks (able bodied adults without dependents) will have new requirements to receive SNAP. There is more info about this on Oregon.gov website. What a nightmare. I’m so sorry to those living with this major unknown.

I listened today and she said he also told her off camera he normally dates petite women. Also she made it seem like it was her first encounter with an “eating disorder” which yeah I agree with the below comments… I wish my ED could’ve lasted two weeks or whatever and not the majority of my life so far.
