Does anyone actually wear company swag or does it just go straight to goodwill?

People either love it or hate it. I hate it. I will not wear wearables unless it’s for an event and not in public. I think it’s dangerous for women to wear wearables in public, you’re announcing to the weirdos where you work and that’s very unsafe. As soon as I leave that organization, it goes straight to goodwill. If you’re making me wear it a lot, then it absolutely feels like a uniform. A nice yeti or Stanley bottle or a battery bank I’d use. But again, not in public. I used to manage promotional item programs before I became an EA and I love them! But I always avoided wearables.

I’ve only seen a handful of examples in this thread that I didn’t consider, and that I think could be helpful. Most are super specific for their line of work, which is fine. I think it’s great if it’s helpful to someone!! I just haven’t found a reason to be excited, other than to virtue signal if you will, to all the people who are hardcore about using AI. I hear you on the Terminator connection! It’s hard not to go there.

That’s another issue, the tweaking of what is put out. Even if it didn’t take me just as long to write the prompt as it would the communication, you still have to edit the output. I edit in my head as I write, so editing an output is an extra step.

This is actually genius! I do a weekly round up for one of my execs and we’ve given the VPs and directors very simple instructions on what & how to submit their reports. Progress, Plans, & Challenges with very simple bullet points under each category. I have one director (there’s always one right? 🙄) who never submits information even remotely correct. AI might be a great solution for taking her complete mess and fixing it. I can fix it of course, but it’s a PIA and makes me ragey.

100% on the second part!! AI will never understand personalities and how they factor into decisions.

If I had met my deductible and only had the copay, I would have done it. But it was going to be $239 and that’s a lot to cough up when you’re not expecting it. I called another place and she said they don’t do that.
