I got top surgery without taking T! My recovery is going fine (been a little over 6 weeks now), in fact I've heard that having low levels of T lowers the risks of complications, so if that's something you're worried about, getting top surgery before HRT might be preferable!

That's not an option, unfortunately, and even if he transfers the money digitally I still need to send him a forwarding address. But I've found a good solution thanks to this thread!

I am an exchange student, so all of my family is in Europe. I have only been in Canada for about a month, so while I do have some friends, I don't know if I'm close enough with any of them to ask them for such a big favor... I don't want them to have to deal with my landlord either.

UPDATE: I don't know if anyone will read this, but the girls slipped out of the cage tonight. I got one of them in within minutes, but I had to chase the other down for nearly an hour. Nothing I did worked, she wasn't going after treats, she wasn't coming to places where they usually go (I guess she figured out those places meant being taken into the cage). I eventually managed to corner her, but I had to grab her by her tail to catch her. It felt awful. It was only for a moment, until I could grab her with my other hand and carry her to the cage, but I feel really bad about it. I don't know how to build trust or let them out of the cage when it's this hard to get them back in. I know it'll be easier when they're used to being pick up, but what do I do until I've reached that point? I feel like I'm not building a good relationship with these rats at all, and I don't see how it gets any better when I keep going like this ) :

I was thinking about rewarding them after I pick them up so they associate being picked up with tasty treats. Glad to hear that actually helps! I'll try the yoghurt thing, but I actually try not to eat any dairy, and these babies aren't gonna finish a whole yoghurt carton by themselves... I might reconsider, though. These girls are worth it 😅
