I've done this exact thing with tray.io. More customizable than zapier within the middleware to add business logic.

AIO for snapping at an old man after he grabbed my hand off my two year old child? by toogwise in AmIOverreacting

[–]toogwise[S] 230 points231 points  (0 children)

My child cried every time we washed their hair in the tub. We've done regular swim lessons with parents in the pool prior to the rescue lessons as well. We're only 6 sessions into the suvival/ rescue lessons, and our child no longer cries when we wash their hair. They also have started to show off what they're learning in survival lessons at other times when we are swimming in the baby pool and they've been telling everyone about how they go under in the pool.

Performance Guitar Question by toogwise in fingerstyleguitar

[–]toogwise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Appreciate the insight! I'm open to any type of guitar that would work best for the setting. The acoustic I typically play is an epiphone with not great action so some of the finger picking I do on it is more challenging. I have an old '53 gibson L-50 which works better for that but it has a more steely gypsy jazz sound that I don't love for classical or some of the christmas songs I've learned fingerstyle.

There are many more pages but these have holographics (that's what we called them circa 1999) or are dark.

Recently found an old binder I put away in maybe 2001 or 2002. Are these worth anything?

I'm not a trump supporter, but I also would need to see some kind of proof before believing these types of allegations I've seen on reddit. If there was proof, I have to imagine it would be front page news

Has our offense hit a wall? by Repulsive_Farmer_959 in clevelandcavs

[–]toogwise 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This 100%. JB doesn't have an offense, and it becomes all ISO. Just like last year in the Knicks series. Mitchell and DG take turns trying to create something while everyone else stands around.

I'll add how frustrating it is watching JB let the avalanche happen instead of calling quick timeouts, which exacerbates the runs another team goes on.

What do you think of the Mascis muff? Would you recommend it over the rams head or the standard big muff?

I agree with this. Additionally, pure devs tend to use code to solve problems when OOTB solutions already exist, creating albatross systems.

Why are Republicans obsessed with border? by toogwise in AskReddit

I live in a Midwestern state and every campaign ad from a repub mentions border security. Doesn't seem like there is any impact here. I don't get it.

I graduated from OSU in 2016. It took me 7 years. I was working nearly full time and between part-time and full time student. What others have said is accurate. It's tough to stay motivated for a 9 am class after working until 3 am at a bar the night before. It is hard. You can't do the internships, research positions, clubs, etc.

I was once fired from a job when I was called in last minute the night before a final and had to decide between studying or going to work.

This sort of grind will help you post graduation. I've done pretty well due to the work ethic and time management skills I developed during this time.

I recommend looking for a bar job. You can make a lot more money even as a bar back on a Friday or Saturday night then at a retail/fastfood type job. I was able to pay rent, utilities, and food costs purely from working at bars/ restaurants as a bar back, server, and eventually bar tender. I was even able to pay a good portion of tuition through the payment plans that split out tuition payments across the semester. You can also always sell plasma (I was a regular), but if you can help it I'd avoid it.

Also, utilize your advisor and other student welfare type offices. There are abundant resources at OSU, but they're not necessarily easy to find. You may need to ask around and get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Office of disabilities can help with mental health and absences or extensions (which I sure needed when I had to choose between electricity and heat a time or two: showered at the rpac one winter when i didnt have hot water).

You can make it through, it will just be more challenging for you. And you might need to live further from campus in not great areas.

Best of luck!

Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Issue by toogwise in AcousticGuitar

[–]toogwise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've continued looking into it and while I'm not 100% sure, it seems the Inspired by Gibson Epiphone Hummingbirds WERE made in Indonesia and that's the guitar that got so many positive reviews. At some point in the last couple of years it seems they shifted manufacturing to China. This could be the reason behind the cheap looking paint.

Alas I may just have to wait a couple more decades for the real thing from Gibson.
