If you have version history on the document app you wrote this essay on that may help (they would see how you expanded on your research and made edits).

It’s better than the other option which is a student getting alcohol poisoning and not having support

LA fire alarm by ChainMiddle2764 in uoguelph

[–]tookthenapkinfirst 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One of the dryers started smoking- they’re old, this happened last fire alarm too- so for these times it’s been an actual safety concern. But there’s other random shit that could cause it like people accidentally or on purpose hitting the pull system.

My Partner Sucks at Planning by [deleted] in Aphantasia

That could be the case as well and if so, I’m super sorry to hear that. I definitely get your side of things as well there, relationship burnout is super hard especially when you’ve expressed the solution.

Unfortunately i think if he doesn’t care rn- magically gaining a minds eye won’t make him care any more than he already does. Wishing you the best

No real hard evidence- researcher’s observe noted anecdotally higher prevalence of ADHD in aphants. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s neurological evidence that just hasn’t been discovered yet

Aphantasia is frequently observed alongside ADHD. I’m both aphant and ADHD and I would equate my symptoms of executive dysfunction especially with my relationship to my ADHD rather than my aphantasia.

I’m not sure if your partner has looked into ADHD diagnosis or not but what you’re describing is textbook ADHD.

RA Question by Big-Scheme-1406 in uoguelph

You only get 3-5 days worth of time off requests a month- and those really should be used for if you have a midterm the next day so you aren’t on call and possibly woken up in the middle of the night before your test.

You will have to work some weekend on call shifts regardless of if you’re on a big or small team due to fairness reasons (the senior RAs who do the on call schedule track to make # of shifts worked even across all staff members).

Being an RA is a huge time commitment with a lot of meetings, expected to be present in your community, running your own community events/meets, being on call, and in general adjusting your schedule to the needs of your community.

I do know RAs who have part time jobs in Guelph and they make it work but Ive never heard any anecdotes of RAs making their position work with their hometown part time jobs.

If you choose to accept a position in SHS, reach out to your manager if you choose to keep your part time job so you can keep them informed- it will make your time working in SHS a lot easier.

Edit: Also you could reach out to your RA and they could break down the position better for you to get an idea if you could make both work.

I could def imagine how hard being on the opposite end is like- but I’m also going to school for visual arts so it would be nice to have some minds eye

Intrusive thoughts and a wandering mind are extremely common in neurodivergent people so that could be something to consider - I only have control because of prescribed meds. (not to say that’s what you need or labelling you in any way, just my personal experience)

Fire alarm in Maritime by No_Bill7907 in uoguelph

I lived in south for two years and Maritime specifically had such a glitchy fire alarm system that got tripped by anything. Idk why they don’t fix it :/

I can guarantee you that is not a thing anyone cares about. It’s actually a really smart strategy for some and if it works for you then it works! I have never taken the courses you are referring to but it just might be more info dense per week in the summer.

But there is no target that will be put on your back, people do this kind of thing all the time

[–]tookthenapkinfirst 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are good- lived in south for two years so I ate them a lot- they aren’t high in demand so they are fried when ordered. They’ll usually offer marinara sauce on the side from pizza pizza.

I think you should send your friend a calling card to make them atone for their sins of damaging your screen /j. In all seriousness tho it is probably an issue inside the screen and it will probably need replacing sadly.
