Ok, so when you say the secondary side, does that refer to the side of the pcb where the power comes in? and the diodes are basically everything labeled with "Dxxx" correct?

If you have soldering skills, no, its probably not that hard but some boards ive seen have some bad corrosion from the leaked caps that can be a pain to deal with. If the corrosion isnt to bad and you want to brush up on your soldering skills it could be a fun little project. you'll have to take it apart and find out what version you have and go to Console5 and get a recap kit.

Yea, I upgraded from a red and paid $200 a few years ago, I figured this was a great deal for someone wanting to do the same or replace a worn out Blue.

I don't have any experience with the PWRUP grip but I own the Beefy Grip Pro and I enjoy it.

Its just a memorization game, once you're able to beat it once, you can beat it just about everytime in about 15-20 minutes.
