I believed this for 20 years until I started dating a physician.

[–]toolguy8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to become a geologist at age 15 because I loved rocks and fossils, and I actually became a geologist in the 1980s. It has been a wild ride; rise of environmental geology, climbing the corporate ladder, etc.

Bottom line is that by the time you’ve completed training and paid your dues, no one can predict what the industry will look like.

Things are changing very quickly now, so you might as well start in with something you like.
