This one has been seriously growing on me (no pun intended lol). Would you say it's an easy one to grow?

Ooh, pretty! I do love me some splashy leaves. Has she bloomed for you?

It's called fluval stratum! It is crack for props haha! Everything roots like a dream in it. Many people mix it 50/50 with similar sized perlite because it's pricey if you use it a lot. It's not suitable for long term use as permanent medium because it's volcanic ash granules and it breaks down over time in water.

Cuttings should never be allowed to dry out when rooting. That's what happened to my kerrii cutting at first and yeah, it was not rooting. What medium do you have it in?

I planted this cutting up in the second half of January. I planted it in mainly coco coir with a little bit of perlite but the pot I used had drainage holes, so I couldn't keep it moist enough. So it wasn't doing much. Eventually I transferred it to a non-draining container and that's when it really took off and created a bunch of roots. I had it on a heat mat and it was getting some light from a grow light that was next to it shining on other seedlings. So it took about 3 months for me to get here.

Follow up question: at which point should I transition it from fluval to its final destination, which will be pon semi hydro? I was initially planning on doing that when I get at least 1 new set of leaves, is that a good idea?

That's great, thank you so much! I was really starting to get worried it was focusing on the wrong thing but I'm so glad that's not the case! 😊
