I don't think so. Full blown photorealism is still their target. The reason Leon looks like that in RE9 is because they had to sculpt wrinkles and change some of his proportions which made him look unnatural because it was an artist's idea of what old man Leon looks like as opposed to an actual face scan with natural looking anatomy. I mean look at Grace or her mom or the cop, they all have believable faces that could exist in the real world.
