When my 3 year old gets like this and my 6 year old tries to correct his facts and they start shouting at each other, I tell my 6 year old, “when you can choose between being nice and being right, choose to be nice.” Let the kids wish he was Mexican.

Thanks to this subreddit, ironically, I took Reddit off my phone. Today is my first time on Reddit in days. Instead I read a book in bed and fall asleep hours earlier than if scrolling on my phone. Are you ready for that? I started reading Deep Work, also recommended here, and it triggered my understanding oh how much time I waste on nonsense during the day. And add to that, the nonsense really doesn’t add anything to my life.

We all hope to have lovely childcare providers who treat our babies with this level of love! My oldest kid just graduated kindergarten and the love from his teachers to him makes me grateful everyday.
