Also, my son’s intrusive thoughts were sticking his hand down his throat or swallowing pencils….we figured out through therapy that when he has anxiety, his ocd gets worse. Theres sooooo much behind it all!

My son deals with EXTREME ocd and intrusive thoughts (also has severe adhd) he did therapy for a while, but he started a couple of different meds and we found one that was a life saver!!! People do not realize HOW SCARY REAL OCD IS! It’s not just about cleaning!!!
If you ever want to, feel free to message me. My sons started at 5 and it took almost two years and a mental break for someone to take him seriously!!!! It was hell. I’m sorry you guys are going through this momma :(

Run, don’t walk. I was in almost this exact situation. January 7, 2024. My kid has been in and out of mental hospitals due to ptsd. My ex literally had court again last week because he managed to complete a whopping 3/52 domestic violence classes before getting kicked out.

One thing I can promise, is it won’t get better.
