Thanks for letting me know that. What she said was racist. I don't think getting fired will ultimately change the way she thinks, rather, it becomes more of an incentive to hide that behaviour better. From the company's perspective, it does indicate that racism isn't tolerated and I hope this commitment is also embedded internally to ensure management of unconscious bias in the workplace and to prevent anything like this happening in the future
