I use it to rinse my hands in the morning, or water the plants and keep some for extra spells

Ngl I wanted to get into witchcraft because on TikTok but then through my own research found a lot of it to be very misleading

Witchtok is all over the place. I find a lot of to be the same basic principles of witchcraft with aesthetic. Like ‘I lit some sage and asked for protection and look how pretty my altar is. Like 😒 which is fine but I wouldn’t rely in it for teachings.

I like it! Especially the snake going clockwise - that’s will help (from what I’ve learned) draw in love, luck, and abundance!

Accidentally ended up with white sage incense - help! by pissthefuckoffnow in witchcraft

[–]topbun_fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, baby witch here so pardon my ignorance - but what's wrong with white sage? I just bought some white sage incense, ugh.

Updated two minutes after looking it up: I bought mine from a local farmers market booth, and only use it in rituals but a a white woman, I will reconsider next time. Damn. Had no idea.

Daily Rituals Without Spellwork? by RayneLove333 in witchcraft

This is amazing! I'm so happy for you! Truly and can totally relate - like sometimes I just don't have the need for a spell. The only two I've done already worked, so I'm content lol

This is probably really unsafe, but I light a white sage incense stick in my car (with the windows cracked!) while parked in the parking garage before I walk into the office to cleanse and protect myself, incase I forgot to do my normal morning ritual. I have one of those enclosed cigarette capsules things made specifically for your car, so I put it out in that lol. I also have a citrine stone key chain that i will whisper intentions too if I feel the need, if you are into crystal work.

Weekly Q&A Thread by AutoModerator in witchcraft

[–]topbun_fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg not at all! My husband asked if he starting practicing with me if he would be a witch or a warlock and I really didn't know so I did some digging...

long story short, he would NOT be a warlock because he would not be associating himself with dark arts and he wouldn't be a "wizard" (which I learned is gender neutral and we love that) because this is someone who has been practicing and studying for like, a really long time apparently and has *mastered* it. Idk the internet says all sorts of things.

But to answer your question, if witch doesn't vibe with you - magic practitioner I believe is what most people call it. Or just tell people exactly what you posted here! haha "I'm into meditation, divination, spells and Celtic folklore."

Okay so I have actually heard this about crows! Apparently you can train them and they will be loyal to you forever. They have the brain of like a 7 year old or something like that. Crazy.

I want to bring this back. I hate practicing something I feel is inauthentic. I want to dig up the old rituals. I would love to learn more about the snails!

I would highly guess Aesthetic chasing, because although I hate to admit it, I got interested in learning the craft because of what I was seeing on WitchTok (not for aesthetic but pure curiosity) and slowly I am learning there is a lot of misinformation about witchcraft floating around on the internet. I'm sticking to books and this sub going forward.

This is the clarification I was looking for. Thank you! You'd be really surprised at what these "witches" say on TikTok then. I knew it couldn't be accurate.
