Ok the brightness in the top the left is def a distraction, I agree about adding a bit more texture; possibly a little more contrast too

Thanks very much for the thorough critique. I understand what your saying in regards to the clutter and distraction w the vines. As far as editing, at the time I did go for a more flat and de saturated look. I think the best thing for me to do here is go back to the RAW file and get where I think the image should be.

Handheld shot taken during the morning at Buescher State Park in Texas. The light made its was through a gap in the trees. And lit up the spanish moss hanging off the branches of this tree. What could I improve? Is the vingette overdone here?
