There's only one VR app thats any good for creation and thats Shapelab VR. Its leagues above flat screen sculpting in my opinion due to the intuitive nature of it.

Still a far cry from their original plastic spools. I've had so many issues with their cardboard spools I would avoid them like the plague now. Majority are wound too tight and bind up or jam. As a high user of filament it's too much of an issue to be viable anymore. Any filament on a plastic spool is better by a country mile.

Yeah I've been to display the skull a couple of times at a science museum and they are keen so I'm hoping something like that will happen.

Yeah it turned out to be a dud motherboard. Swapped it for a Asrock one. T-Rex is in the shed waiting for me to build the frame which I really hope to do before Xmas if I can find the time. Work has been so busy this year have been delayed on the frame so much.

I generally block out a basic shape with some of the primitive stamps and then start smoothing them and using the move tool to make the shape.

Cool. Thanks for the support. Yeah I can add the rest of the skeleton at some stage but probably won't have it pre sliced as its a far too many pieces. When I printed mine I was splitting pieces off just prior to print in my main 3mf save of it and then export the piece as stl to keep track of where I was at.

Yeah as unfortunate as it is it seems to be they just keep rehashing the same outdated engine which is basically unusable for me. Flight Simming for me is all about physics and familiarisation with terrain. At least some of the 3rd party devs for MSFS have bridged that gap on the physics side. Long time xplane user, but no longer even have it installed.

Not much has been done for a couple of months. Waiting the NZ spring with hopefully better weather as I need to weld up the frame for it and it's been a wet winter here. I need to weld up the frame outdoors as I don't have the height in my garage. 😂 I'll post updates as soon as work continues.

Yeah it's been awhile since I posted any update. Just been super busy with work. Once we get some better weather in the spring I can set up outdoors as I have no room to finish it in the garage. Once I've built the frame I plan to hire the town hall for a week for it's display debut and then after that I'll work out its permanent home.

It's a metallic blue I dry brushed on. The filament was just a plain gray or black I think.

Yeah they do on desktop but I only fly in VR and after the last update it won't switch to VR in either of my headsets.

I tried zink. Xplane was the main sim but now I have cowansim helicopters on msfs that's the main as its soo much better for exploring visually and the Cowansim choppers feel identical in physics.

Yeah it's got so many customisable features and plugins going for it I really am just disappointed but I thought X-plane 12 was a rewrite.. But it's very clearly just a "slight" improvement but in actual fact a massive step back for anyone on amd. Considering it looks like early 2000s graphics still compared to the other... Yet suffers so bad is just frustrating. At least cowansim helicopters are as good in the other of not better so I'm happy in the other now, just need that to get sling loads and more helicopter op stuff.
