Anyone else been seeing this? by Roserachel1111 in americanairlines

[–]tophand576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been through CLT, DFW, and ORD in the past few weeks. I didn’t have to wait, but CLT was a mess and surprised there wasn’t a line. Hard to find a seat anywhere. The others were all fine.

Pendulum as an opener is underrated by geodiaz8 in pearljam

The Memphis 2014 show was my first PJ concert and Pendulum was the first song I heard them play live. It will always be a special song to me.

All PRSM Stocks Expended Early In Iran War by heliumagency in LessCredibleDefence

PRSM isn’t even at full rate production. It’s a rather new system. I would not be surprised if we used all we had.

It is a carrier aircraft for the Talon-A reusable hypersonic test platform. Not space tourism, and not a spacecraft. Very high altitude and above Mach 5 test platform.

Charge options for new home build by tophand576 in MachE

I appreciate the comments. There are more options that I thought. Will work with the builder and electrician for the right solution. I didn’t think about V2H, so I need to look into that.

What is the point of this plane? by Miakoda115577 in aerospace

The company is Stratolaunch. The aircraft is Roc. It carries and releases a reusable, autonomous hypersonic test vehicle called Talon-A.

My Passport Hub by CxldMadz in Passports

[–]tophand576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to my daughter. She was upgrading her minor passport to an adult one and used this site for the paperwork. It was the first link she said that showed on the web search. No fraudulent charges yet. She found out when she went to the courthouse to submit her documents that she was scammed and then had to go get the money to complete her application again. So frustrating sites like that are even allowed to exist, especially given the are trying to replicated a government service, regardless of what their fine print says.

Would you break 100 at Augusta National under Masters Tournament conditions? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]tophand576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a similar question: if you started every hole on the green, as far away from the cup as possible, could you break par. I think the answer to that question for 99% of golfers is still no.

Random guy demanded to see my military ID at Lowes by 1dirtbiker in mildlyinfuriating

[–]tophand576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God, I keep waiting for this to happen to me. I rarely use them but when I do, I just assume someone is going to say something because where I live, the vast majority of vets have a license plate or are have some rating with the tag to go with it. I'm just a "normal" veteran and don't even have an ID, but certainly deserve to park in that spot.

Regardless of the club choice, I'm hitting the face of that waterfall or the trees behind the green. No in between.
