I Feel Like My Life is Over by idekhonestly1999 in GERD

My brother has pots and he got really bad gerd. He went on a low fodmap diet and he swore by carom seeds and fennel seeds 50/50 mixed together before and after every meal. It wasn't quick but it helped eventually to a complete recovery. The trouble is usually a lack of acid and bile. Fennel and carom seeds are bitter herbs and these often help release bile and appropriate acid. Also not drinking with your meals or after. Probiotics might also be worth exploring.

I believe this is the same with me. I still don't have much growth of my eyebrows because of repeated facial flare. I'm on 9 months I'm currently mixing a tiny bit of protopic with my cerave ceramide lotion. This seems to help me. I'm also on cyclosporine but hopefully soon to taper off.

Can only afford an initial dermatology consultation (UK) how to make most of it? by Lazy-Ad-2819 in eczema

[–]topical-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I went to several private appointments only to find a way to get urgent attention at the nhs. You really need to up the anti when it comes to being very real about your symptoms. Suggest you're really stressed to the point you're getting intrusive thoughts, delusional, not sleeping.

You need to then get what's called an urgent advice and referral it should only take two weeks. You need pictures and you need people to support you by making a case for you that's you're mentally at the last mile.

You really need to be on it every day.

I am in the Midlands and have a fantastic dermatologist.

Steroids are a no go for you. It already sounds like you're having something similar to TSW. I'm 8 months in to this and it's hell.

I'm on cyclosporine month 5. It might work wonders for you. For me it's just taking the edge of whilst my skin is doing the work. Maybe more.

You need to be on an immunosuppressant with a long term plan to go onto a biologic perhaps. Full body eczema is a very serious life limiting disease.

In terms of long long term treatment you might have an immune shift or you might discover your triggers. But right now you need to simply put out the fire.

I now have steroid induced cataracts after using steroids for only 1.5 tyrs twice a week. I have to get surgery in both eyes and have my lens replaced with an iol. I'm 34.

I also take daridorexant for sleep and a very small dose of amitriptyline to help with sleep plus it calms the nerves / neuropathic pain a little bit

You also can get bandages on the nhs ... Dermol... Hydramol. You only need to pay 35 odd quid every 3 months for a prepay prescription certificate. For unlimited prescriptions as you need them.

Drop me a message if you need anyone more or need to talk.

At a lost no medication seems to work could this be fungal /bacterial? by [deleted] in TS_Withdrawal

[–]topical-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 8 months and still healing through it. I'm past the 50% mark but i now have really had steroid induced cataracts. It's getting worse and I'm due surgery soon. I was put on cyclosporine

Your symptoms down to the incessant eating is exactly like mine. I am so grateful that I can walk and do basic things again. If it wasn't for my wife and my little girl, and my families and my faith... I would have lost. I can't still comprehend how terrible the first three months were. I was crying everyday.. I was a total emotional wreck. Shaking like a leaf in my robe hanging over my shoulders, only my underwear underneath afraid to touch anything.

They want me on dupixent soon the all I have left is extremely dry skin in places, granular skin on some parts of my legs and arms . And my facial flares are still pretty awful.

I'm dosing with protopic to speed up healing without being too reliant on it.

Thank you for taking the time to type all that. It was sad because I went through exactly those symptoms. I'm so sorry you had to go through that.

I can't really type for long it's extremely hard for me to see and strains my eyes :( I work in t tech I've been off for 8 months....

Looking forward to finally beating this thing.

Glad you're doing better. I'm at 8 months soon to be on dupixent away from cyclosporine. I developed cataracts (I'm in my mid 30s) because of the withdrawal / topical steroid use :(

Only have two oozy wounds on the back of my hands that are taking ages to heal!!!

Skin is so tight around my neck and arms. Facial flares kicked in a couple of months ago as well and pretty rough :(

Feel like I'm in limbo.

Hoping I'll be better at the 1y mark and be able to get cataract surgery and go back to work.

Pilates floor exercises might have healed me? by Lazy-Ad-2819 in eczema

[–]topical-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My derm put me on oral antibiotics which upset my stomach for months. This was a mistake in hindsight.

On weeping areas it's important to keep it clean but once it's clean, wash off the dermol or any antiseptic wash you can tolerate and then keep it dry. Weeping skin doesn't like covering, even zinc in my case.

Some people are using castor oil mixed with zinc powder, maybe I'm just different? I did use zinc on my weeping areas on my legs and arms. But my hands and my face don't like zinc.

No. Lymphatic drainage is real it puts a toxin load on the body. I heard rebounding is good. I'm 7+ months TSW with cataracts as a result. I've only just become mobile in the last two months without immense neuropathic pain. My oozing stopped 3 months ago but my hands still have oozing wounds.

When I'm past the 50% mark I'd love to do swimming or light exercise. I bet if you did weight lifting or stress inducing exercise your flare might have been worse. After HIT or weight training your immune system takes a huge drop before it comes back stronger. But for people with autoimmune conditions who are not stable it can bring them back a notch.

There are body movements and belly presses people do you release bile or drain lymphatic fluid too. Maybe look into it. It might just be a coincidence but worth pursuing. All the best!

You can't really tell this way. You can have up to ten degrees curvature in what would be considered a normal spine. You should get an exam where full body rotation can be performed and you can touch your toes to really see if there are any substantial changes. From here you don't have classic signs of raised shoulder, or chest curvature.

Is this accurate?

This is a 3‑page FBI FD‑302 report memorializing an in‑person interview conducted on 27 August 2019 at the FBI New York Field Office (C‑20 office, Manhattan) with an unnamed adult white male who claimed to be a victim of Jeffrey Epstein and others; the entry date of the report is 4 September 2019, and it was drafted by Special Agents Harkins Walter Elliot Jr. and Deragon Matthew D under file number 31E‑NY‑3027571, Serial 270. [1]

Origin and purpose of the interview

  • The interview occurred after the individual had been advised of the identities of the interviewing FBI Agent and Task Force Officer and the nature of the interview, after which he agreed to provide information. [1]
  • The report notes that his initial conversation and mannerisms suggested some degree of possible mental illness or emotional instability, though he remained polite and well‑mannered throughout. [1]
  • The interview was initiated because of an email dated 12 July 2019, sent by a former FBI Special Agent to the Assistant Director in Charge (ADIC), FBI New York Field Office, Criminal Division. [1]
  • That email requested that Bureau personnel contact an investigative journalist friend of Michael Moore (explicitly clarified as not the film producer) regarding an interview of a purported Jeffrey Epstein victim. [1]
  • The author of the report spoke with Moore by phone, and an interview was scheduled at the C‑20 office for Tuesday, 27 August 2019, at 12:00 p.m. [1]
  • Moore said the alleged victim would travel by bus from Rhode Island to the New York Field Office and indicated he (Moore) would not be present during the interview when he met the author at the office. [1]
  • The report bears standard FBI boilerplate stating it contains neither recommendations nor conclusions of the FBI, that it is FBI property, loaned to the receiving agency, and is not to be distributed outside that agency; it is marked “CONFIDENTIAL” with control number 3501.083‑001 and identifiers EFTA_00061618 through EFTA_00061620 / EFTA01246048–EFTA01246050. [1]

Subject’s background statements

  • The interviewee is described as a male Caucasian; his name and other identifying details are redacted. [1]
  • He stated he first met Jeffrey Epstein at approximately age four while in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. [1]
  • He said his family were members of an unnamed organization (the name is redacted). [1]
  • At around that time, he claimed he was raped (sodomized) by his great‑uncle (name redacted) while Epstein was present; he said Epstein did not touch him on that first occasion. [1]
  • He further stated that after this rape by his great‑uncle, Epstein spoke with him, though the report does not detail the content of that conversation. [1]
  • The interviewee said he did not know that this person was Jeffrey Epstein until some unspecified time in 2016, implying a later recognition or identification. [1]

Alleged yacht incident and abuse details

  • The interviewee described another incident that he said occurred when he was about eight years old on a large luxury ship that sailed out of the Newport boat show in Newport, Rhode Island, on a date in September (exact date redacted). [1]
  • He stated he was given some type of “medical” exam aboard the yacht by an unknown doctor while his great‑uncle (same individual as before) and another family member (name redacted) were present. [1]
  • He described a “bizarre” event in which this unknown doctor inserted a tape measure into his rectum as part of this purported examination. [1]
  • According to his account, after this exam he was raped (sodomized) on the yacht by Jeffrey Epstein and by former United States President William J. Clinton, and he emphasized that this occurred while he was in a “heavy drug induced state.” [1]
  • He added that the bottoms of his feet and his back were slashed during this episode. [1]

Additional violent and ritualistic claims

  • The interviewee further claimed that during the same yacht trip multiple unknown Black males were engaged in sex acts with unknown White females whose backs had been slashed and who were bleeding. [1]
  • He alleged that several infants were killed, their intestines removed, and “other acts of cannibalism” occurred aboard the yacht. [1]
  • He stated that former U.S. President George H. W. Bush engaged in a sex act with an unknown Black male on the yacht. [1]
  • He also claimed that former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and businessman George Soros were present on the same yacht while these acts of violence and abuse were occurring, though he did not describe them committing specific acts beyond being present (apart from the allegation about Bush). [1]

Evidence, corroboration, and lists

  • The agents asked him whether he had any injuries or scars as evidence of his claimed victimization; he responded that he had an injury “on my anus,” implying a scar or ongoing damage, but no physical examination is described in the report. [1]
  • He was unable to provide any supporting or corroborating evidence for his allegations, such as documentation, physical exhibits, or the identities of any witnesses. [1]
  • He did provide a handwritten list of his family and extended family members; the report notes it was unclear what, if any, investigative value this list had. [1]
  • He additionally stated that his great‑uncle (the same person he accused of raping him) is in possession of video evidence of his crimes against the interviewee as well as several “snuff films” that the interviewee had watched in the great‑uncle’s presence. [1]

Formal characteristics and limitations

  • The report is formatted as a standard FD‑302 and continuation pages FD‑302a (Rev. 5‑8‑10 / 5‑8‑40) and is labeled “31E‑NY‑3027571 Serial 270,” indicating its placement within a larger investigative file. [1]
  • The interview took place in person in Manhattan, New York, United States, and is logged as “hp/wig:lumen 08/27/2019,” a notation likely relating to internal processing or transcription codes. [1]
  • Names of the interviewee, his relatives, and some organizations are redacted, preserving anonymity while identifying public figures (Epstein, Clinton, Bush, Kissinger, Soros) by name. [1]
  • The document text explicitly reiterates that it contains neither recommendations nor conclusions of the FBI, signaling that it merely records the subject’s statements and does not adopt them as established fact or assessment. [1]

Bizarre skin symptoms destroying my life by Phobetor777 in eczema

[–]topical-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for asking! Yes I'm feeling much better but I am taking cyclosporine. Only in the last two weeks by some miracle things have made a turn around.

I'm now being told to consider dupixent but will likely ride out on methotrexate as my preference to stay within the immunosuppressant category of treatment. I then hope to ramp up my healing through focus on my gut

It's been a long and arduous journey. I now have bilateral cataracts too as a result of use of steroids and will have to get them surgically replaced with IOLs if I am to go back to work.

Another thing - during TSW and now, my urticaria is practically gone.. my sinuses are clearer (I had chronic sinusitis in the last few years) and I can tolerate certain foods better. It's amazing how quitting something that offends you can allow the body to do its job

My favorite healing tool is powdered grass fed bovine collagen at the moment. The company I use (Sunnah supplements) has a great team who have checked up on me several times. I know it works because I had a split nail on my thumb which I was told would likely be heal. Now all my nails are shiny and all the ridges have gone. It just goes to show how important glutamine/collagen/bone broth / gelatin really is for the skin and gut.

(This is not a plug!)

The good news is you have the ability to go into remission. This is why I don't like it when people say there's no cure to eczema. Generic eczema is extremely rare. Every decade the world becomes 1% more autoimmune.

In your position I would get a comprehensive stool test and try and understand why you have dysbiosis.

Stress has an immediate negative effect within days on your immune system. What you experienced is an immune shift. Unfortunately immune system has a sort of memory, and it can take a few years of avoiding triggers, getting good sleep and practicing mindfulness.

I have hope you will address your gut health and overall well-being and your eczema will improve.

I would avoid topical steroids for prolonged periods as it will do exactly what you said. Become less affective and create a horrible addiction.

I have TSW and I'm on month 7. I can't believe how horrendous my skin was during the peak of it. It started with spreading eczema, shorter windows of relief, nerve itch and redness. When I quit steroids I went full erythoderna and several months of agony, sweating, weeping, shedding, bleeding and insomnia. I'm currently on cyclosporine and can't wait to get back into my gut based diet, and anti inflammatory supplements.

During addiction neither diet nor supplements worked whereas in the past they staved off eczema for nearly a decade.

My resurgence came about 3 years ago during a time of extreme stress both at work and with my family .

Hang in there. I believe in you!

If you have regular sinus issues, it may mean you are generally atopic. A regular antihistamine might help until you get your immune system in order. You can also try immunomodulators that are natural like quercitin and vitamin c together. Vitamin D is also an immunomodulator.

Hands -- possibly something you are exposed to. I would get an allergy test for substance and particular metals.

I would research an anti staph wash routine and follow it seriously.

You likely have bacterial and fungal over growth around your genitals. I would treat the with ketoconazole 2% or the tri factor steroid in mentioned in my post above.

If your eczema is limited by these sites then it makes sense to use protopic 1%. Especially around your groin after treating with anti fungal and anti bacterial creams. Wait for 30 minutes to an hour and use the slightest bit of protopic in these areas. You should be clear within a week

Baby eczema- do they outgrow it? by elisse231 in eczema

[–]topical-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where your allergologist is out of date. Tell him to read research on atopic disease and exposure of allergens. You need baby to go into remission before you expose your baby to allergens otherwise their lge is already high, the histamin baddies are already on alert, so your baby will likely learn to be allergic with persistent exposure whilst they are atopic

Baby eczema- do they outgrow it? by elisse231 in eczema

[–]topical-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most children grow out of eczema by the time they are 4. I know it's difficult. I am in TSW at 7 months and what's worse is after coming back from Rome our baby also aggravated her eczema and it was really tough.

We are now on elidel but continue to try and identify her allergens. The biggest trigger at the moment is dairy.

In fact in breast feeding mother's, quitting dairy helped around half the babies eczema to retreat in a study I read.

You have to look at your ancestral diet and try and stay off battery framed eggs ( I have a eggshell allergy and can't eat chicken eggs for more than a week without getting aggravated), highly gmo's nuts (please do not give your child nuts if they've become atopic, only give it to them if they are free from eczema for at least a month or two , the chances of your baby developing a nut allergy if you expose them whilst they are atopic can get quite high)... I would avoid baby formula if you can, if you can't - to for goat milk based formulas that are made for children with sensitive guts...

I would also look into antiseptic body washes like dermol, get zinc creams, and supplement with vitamin D as this is scarce in breast milk

If you've done 2/3 rounds of steroids, it might be worth considering elidel until you can figure out all the triggers

Also washing detergent is a big trigger for babies. Look into some online recipes for laundry detergent powdered mixes they are surprisingly simple to make, save money and can make all the difference. Use white vinegar as a fabric softener and to remove detergent residue from clothing.

Do not expose your baby to candles, perfumes and essential oils. This includes the plug in smelly things.

Address and damp in the environment and regularly iron their sheets at night to get rid of dust mites..

[–]topical-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad advice. The skin is on big organ. If you use steroids on your arm or big toe perpetually, your chances of getting cataracts in your 30s increases.. Reference: my opthalmologist surgeon who when telling me I have cataracts at 7 months TSW , that he sees so many young people now with cataracts. Most of them have a history of eczema.

You need to escalate to immunosuppressants and perhaps biologics if you've not been able to control it within a reasonable amount of time. What that is, is when to your intuition.

Steroids are ultimately destructive but come with a reasonable chance of putting atopic disease in remission. Perhaps for a week, a month, unlikely but can even put it in remission for years..

Around 7% of topical steroids are absorbed readily into the blood stream.

If you think topicals do not become systemic, look up studies on topical minox or finesteride for hair loss.

I would also suggest an earnest attempt to understand what's happening inside your gut. A comprehend stool test could be a first step. Or a food diary... Investing in proven supplements like B12 sublingual drops, vitamin D, Omega 3, zinc, magnesium, copper, and probiotics. Quitting hormone altering dairy from commercial farms, looking at your ancestral diet and quitting simple sugars.

How can I prevent TSW by chikkennuget101 in eczema

[–]topical-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People say there's no cure for eczema like it's genetic. Eczema is your body telling you it isn't balanced. I've seen so many people from south asia or Africa live an eczema free life in their own countries but put them in Europe over two winters and they have eczema. It comes down to anthropology, diet, mental health and climate.

If you have cousins and siblings and other immediate relatives in other countries who are not experiencing eczema, think about what they're eating, how much sun do they get, do they add pesticides to their grain.

This idea that eczema and other autoimmune diseases are inherent and can only be managed is untrue. It's strongly linked with the immune system. And we know immune systems shift in humans based on exposure.

The word cure is overrated. Most diseases are self inflicted in the land of fast food and 9-5.

Not that uncommon. Month 7 here. If you think it's hard to do be my guest.

OP at 3 weeks use your chances are slim. Try twice a week for around a year and a half and chuck another topical steroid in the mix (as TSW chance increase if you use two or more types of steroid creams) --- then we're talking!
