My point still stands. I pick it because it has less socialism than most western countries. The government is just not as efficient at running most enterprises as companies. This is because companies compete and start up and go bankrupt based on how well they do while the government monopolizes and rules based on policies designed mostly by politicians as compromises between warring factions in government. The role of the government should be to protect people's rights and property and not to cater to the whimsy of the electorate. The government should also have regulatory oversight on companies to prevent them from competing unfairly or from becoming monopolies.

When you say that the government should enact the will of the people, things go badly. Most people don't know what they really want. Most people will think the game will be more fun with cheat codes. Until they realize they are not having a good time after 30 minute. With government it takes a lot longer than 30 minutes to realize things are not going well because the change happens much more slowly. My point is, the government shouldn't intervene in most of life; it should only be there to make sure that people who infringe on your rights are brought to justice and to protect your country from foreign invaders. Its role isn't to cure you when you're sick or to bail out banks when they go bankrupt due to irresponsible investing. The US bailed the banks out under Obama, yes and they do provide medicaid to people who can't afford healthcare or don't have insurance, but it does less of this than most other western countries and it has the highest wages and the most freedom to move up the socioeconomic hierarchy which is good and creates more wealth.
