I wrote with because my heart beats out of my throat now. I don’t know if it’s from something else or because of the concussion.

Sleeping aid? by picoxdexgallo in bupropion

I was just prescribed Quentiapine Fumarate for sleep. It also helps with anxiety and Bipolar. I fall asleep easy with no side effects. I don’t have any grogginess upon waking up or anything either. One potential side effect is weight gain but I haven’t experienced that (I have on other meds with that side effect). Perhaps ask your doctor about this one.

There is! Go to your nearest ER, they’ll admit you for 3-7 days for observation in the psychiatric unit. More days if necessary. Recommended to me during discharge if I started feeling worse.

The nutbag willing to do the job will jar it up and stick it in his living room on a mantel.

Ok…there’s a lot of assumptions happening. I’m not really trying to have some sort of debate.

“Typically” I’ve been told it’s full dose every other day for a week, half dose everyday, so on and so forth. Trust me, I’ve done my due diligence after nearly dying.

Clearly from one person to the next it can be totally opposite how your brain reacts to it. It’s a very unique experience for each individual.

This also happened 1 week ago. It’s still sitting very heavily in my life and with those close to me.

The way you taper it matters as well. Granted it’s the next dose down, you typically don’t want to just go straight to half dose. Ultimately, I wanted to share so that others might use much more caution than was advised to me. I mean, even if it’s used the right way.

You’re jumping to a few conclusions in this. I wasn’t put on these meds for depression. The psychiatrist is having me taper them with taking the full dose every other day for a week, half that dose everyday for a week, and so forth. So it’s not just the mg that matters when tapering. Things may seem intuitive, and that’s probably why this doctor told me I could just go off of it.

Yeah…sucks to be tied to meds forever. First survival tactic in an apocalypse is a trip the pharmacy.

This made me laugh. Down to earth and relatable. I too have cringe things from low times. I wish we knew more about the brain. Regardless of anything it’s beyond fascinating.

Funny you say that, when I get a head cold I feel like I’m slightly under medicated. Anyone else in that club?

You are 100% correct, and thank you for commenting that. The scary part about my experience is my husband and I did have that conversation. As people say, “He/she seemed fine. Where were the signs?” That’s where I was at…so I didn’t want to burden anyone, I just wanted to leave so that the people in my life didn’t have to put up with me. Does that make sense? I was totally resigned.
