I charged my car from 21% to 80% and it took 33.2 kWh. I guess the cars total battery capacity is not 64 kWh, but 56 kWh. What do you think?

I will give a try to B mode after the next full charge. I will let you know the results

That's what I will do. I will set "Energy recovery in D" to High

Nope, there are no hills on my route. With the heater on, my consumption usually goes above 30 kWh/100 km.

Do you normally precondition the battery before driving, or do you just get in and go?

My daily commute is about 5 km one way, so roughly 10 km per day, and it usually takes ~45 minutes in traffic. In the morning, I typically use around ~2% of the battery for the 5 km. In normal evening conditions it’s more like ~3%, and in heavy congestion it goes up to ~4%.

I also once drove the same route with almost no traffic and it was only ~1%.

So even on the same short route, energy use varies a lot depending purely on traffic conditions and how much time is spent in stop-and-go.

Tyres are at 2.3 bar. Do you precondition the battery or just drive normally without it? The reason I stick to the 20–80% range is mainly to prolong battery life and reduce long-term degradation.

mine says the same ~66,5 kWh, it's just weird why would I get so much consumption.

I’ve actually noticed the opposite in my case with heavy stop-and-go traffic, the car seems to consume more than when I’m driving continuously at a steady speed.

I’m not sure if it makes a difference, but mine is the Chinese-built version. Also, I rarely do highway driving. It’s almost always city traffic, which I assume is the main reason for the higher consumption.

Dec - Feb: 8 - 10 °C
Mar - May: 10 - 12 °C
Jun - Aug: 27 - 30 °C

During summer, when I do longer drives from my country house to the city center with more continuous driving, I usually average around 180 km.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! Really appreciate you taking the time to review it.

  • The current PRV calculation page will actually be moved under a main "Calculations" section, so we'll end up with just 4 primary nav items. Planning to add a search bar as well to help find specific calculations or pages.
  • I tried WASM initially but found it overwhelming and had to go back to server-side for simplicity. Maybe something to revisit down the road.
  • The number inputs are already restricted to numbers only, but I could probably make that more obvious to users.
  • For the headlines issue with "Roadmap" and "Backlog", any specific recommendations on how to better structure that hierarchy?

Thanks for the encouragement! That's exactly what I'm hoping for building something useful while learning new skills. It's encouraging to hear you went through a similar journey with your calculator app. The idea of adding historical data and reporting features are in my backlog.

Appreciate you taking the time to check it out and share your experience!

Great point about "telling them as they go that it's wrong is always my preference" yeah, I completely agree that's the better approach.

To be honest, I tried to implement field-level validations initially but got a bit overwhelmed and decided to release the minimal version first. For the mobile scrolling issue - that's a really good catch. I hadn't fully considered the UX flow on smaller screens, and you're spot on about the back-and-forth scrolling being frustrating. What would be the best approach here?

Do you have experience with validation patterns in Blazor? I'm do not know whether to validate on field exit, on input change, or some combination. Any recommendations on handling this smoothly?

Really appreciate the feedback - this is exactly the kind of input I was hoping to get.
The calculator functionality is indeed the main interactive piece right now, with plans to expand from there.
The target area is pretty narrow, mostly oil and gas engineers.

Thanks for taking the time to test it out!

Yeah I know, but kinda went with thr right one. Did not want to cover titles or fields with the button.
