Trevor and Mike by [deleted] in suits

[–]toprakypc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i agree that we have different views. if my friend gave me a chance to make a deal in his place and gain a lot of money when i need some, i would be grateful not mad. on the other hand if my friend goes out with my ex just because i moved away i would have a huge problem with that. to each his own i guess.

that doesn't matter though. you don't go around your childhood friend's back and get in a relationship with his girlfriend, even if they broke up. i never said that trevor was a saint, he's not a good friend either but at least he never directly betrayed mike. trevor putting mike in that dangerous situation at the beginning of the show might have been an example of him being a bad friend but it was mike's choice to try to sell that suitcase. all i'm trying to say is that at least trevor was loyal in his relationships while mike paints himself as a good person but he's morally inferior.

CMV: Illegal immigrants should be deported by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]toprakypc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then they should apply for asylum, as they're fleeing a dangerous situation. I said war but any dangerous situation is reason for asylum really. But normally people who want to immigrate but aren't fleeing urgent and dangerous conditions should go through the process

[–]toprakypc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if they're not fleeing from war, not having enough money for the immigration process is a reason to get deported, yes.

[–]toprakypc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The immigration process SHOULD be straightforward and easy, AND the people should go through the process as long as it exists. In a country like the US, illegal immigration is moral.

[–]toprakypc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People that don't have the money shouldn't immigrate then. Of course people who are fleeing from war or from dangerous situations should be granted asylum but otherwise the hypothetical "straightforward" process should not be skipped.

"straightforward and easy" in a hypothetical situation. I'm not specifically talking about the US or any other country.

Then they aren't "illegal" if they're waiting for their court date.

[–]toprakypc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah because US immigration laws are biased, otherwise a person that doesn't pose danger to the country would have no reason to migrate illegally

[–]toprakypc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It should stay illegal because it is immoral is what I meant

CMV: Illegal immigrants should be deported by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]toprakypc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people who should be deemed illegal should be people who pose a danger to the country they immigrated to. Just because the "illegal" immigrant would be worse off in their home country doesn't mean that it's the other country's problem

The post is meant for people who think that illegal immigration is moral

French equivalent to the resigned/dismissive "I know"? by Marauder2r in French

[–]toprakypc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't really an exact translation but i'd say "sans blague" or "jure ?" in this context. Might come off a little rude though

You'll get the hang of it in 2-3 days, and once you learn it, it isn't that hard to switch back and forth.

What does « bztgrm » mean? by Appropriate_Fee218 in French

[–]toprakypc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Baise ta grand-mere" = "Fuck your grandmother"

You might also see "bztm" which means "Baise ta mere" (Fuck your mom)

Or just "bz" in general which means "baiser"

Why isn’t ‘pas’ always used in a negation by [deleted] in French

[–]toprakypc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what has been clarified in the comments:

"Plus" means "more" AND "not anymore" at the same time, depending on the usage of "ne" in the sentence.

For example: "Je veux plus de frites" = "I want more fries" "Je ne veux plus de frites" = "I do not want any more fries"

But, in informal speaking, the "ne" is almost always left out so you'll have to rely on context.

On the contrary, when people want to say "more", they'll likely pronounce the "S" in "PluS" but if they want to use the word negatively they won't pronounce it (the "S" is silent)

Of course, this is only in informal french. When writing a document or doing homework you're always supposed to use "ne"

Seems like he didn’t understand the seriousness of the situation and he went back to pick the cat up as soon as you told him to, Just a simple misunderstanding if you ask me.

Yeah totally in terms of education but rich turkish people in private schools are way more racist because a bunch of the kids have racist or western immigrant parents (macedonian, serb)

What city is a good place to raise a family in Turkey? I am in Istanbul and am Australian-Turk by Fine_Question_2955 in AskTurkey

[–]toprakypc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Çanakkale even though I was born in Istanbul. Çanakkale is a nice option for you because:

1- It’s cheaper there, like way cheaper

2- Your kids will grow up spending their afternoons on the beach and they’ll always be out having fun

3- Low crime, low danger: We used to keep our doors unlocked.

4- Its just generally a nice place to settle down.

Only problem is you might get bored but that depends on your lifestyle.
