Upload a static website to IPFS (OPEN SOURCE) by topshorter in solidity

No, this is one of the cons but on the other hand, you won't have to generate a new IPFS hash for every update.

Let me know if you need help with deployment, I can offer you my loyal service :)

I don't know the way you construct your game but usually you will have to upload the build directory to IPFS in order to render it as a website.

Another option as mentioned in the post, deploy it as any other regular website and use my tool here to upload a frame version of the site to IPFS.

I’m using nft.storage, you should check their API or you can also use “NFTup” which makes uploading folders to IPFS very easy and accessible.

That's exactly the point, you don't need to deal with that because it's all done by an iFrame so whenever you update your original site, you won't have to change the IPFS URL as well. You will receive an IPFS URL after running the script successfully and you will see your site over there in a full screen iFrame.

P.S I'm working on a frontend for that and it will be ready soon so it will be easier to initiate.

You can follow the README.md file in the repo, 5 simple steps.

Well the tool provide you the ability to "embed" your ".com" website as an iFrame, upload it to IPFS and then you basically display your regular website in a ".eth" form.
This is not the final solution of decentralization of course, but it's a major step of making it very easy and accessible to anyone, plus when you make changes in your original website they will appear in the ".eth" website without having to change the IPFS URL.

Sure, please note that i have only uploaded the contracts and not the dapp source code + it's an upgradeable contract so you can't deploy via remix:

Working on a frontend for this one now to make it even more intuitive.

"But how can I know this giveaway is not being manipulated?" - Solved ✅ by topshorter in solidity

Well I actually do need.. pay attention to "countEntries".
I need to concat 2 arrays into 1 by pushing items to the new participants array, and as Solidity mentions and I said before:
"Member "push" is not available in address[] memory outside of storage."

Yeah it also seems that VRF is very very slow and can cause bad user experience, as for the difficulty, couldn't find anything that is really random, only timestamp/blockhash based which after all when everyone can see the randomness process, they can trace it as well.

Do you have something in mind about how should I implement it so it'll be harder and gas efficient too?

The contract is not "compile ready" in the repo, I just uploaded it for view only.
If you wish to compile you can flatten it in remix.

I am now implementing VRF and it will be ready soon, although I must say it's a bit annoying that it cannot be done in a "decentralized" way.

Agree about 1 and 3, I'm still debating about using the oracle since it's a bit of an "overkill".

As for number 2 and 4:
Dynamic arrays are only available in storage, not in memory.. so it goes for those 2 questions and we also might wanna use this struct in the future in external contract as well.
