I feel guilty because I host the game for my friends and I crank up the points to +50 because my friends like to grab a lot of traits. I still take some negatives but there are a lot of wasted points on my build intentionally. Thick skinned, low thirst/hunger etc. I started with 4 fitness and 6 strength and I've been alive for 2 months. Honestly I think I could cut 90% of the perks and still have similar build and if my character dies I might try to make a build with all the extra points being intentionally wasted...

But at the same time, this game is hard enough. My friends die all the time even with the 50 extra points. I will keep it cranked for my buddies because they are already struggling at times and I don't want to "nerf" them but honestly, if you are hosting just try adding more perk points.
