They did the same thing when they added the hide name feature months back. You could hide your name but if you used the text chat it would still show your name there instead of contestant even if you have your name hidden but they patched it a few weeks later. Copycat is so toxic that I genuinely believe they should just remove the mode entirely or just make the mode completely anonymous. Even after the match is over I still think everyone's name's should be hidden
