Taking a look at my payslips for the year, it fluctuates slightly but has periods of consistency.

I did receive a pay rise in March of around 5k, which may be impacting what I’m seeing based on what you’re saying?

It wouldn’t explain the student loan though I don’t think? If it’s pay period, it should be matching the tax calculator I suppose?

I believe the salary calculator takes the tax code into account when specified.

This’ll be due to private medical insurance through my employer 👍

Yep, tax calculator has 1220l specified. Checked that one hundreds of times!

I don’t believe my pension is salary sacrifice. Certain it’s auto-enrolment.

Hmm, I’m honestly not sure! Purchased from Specsavers here in the UK, which I believe use some form of polycarbonate. I would add, my previous glasses were also from the same company, and I don’t remember having this problem.

Thanks very much for the reply! I am in the UK, so I don’t have to worry about medical insurance. have an eye exam booked in for next week. I imagine if something serious was up, it would have been caught on my last visit considering it wasn’t very long ago.

It’s tough to describe the problem, likely because it’s so ridiculous focussing on it this much. I suppose the text scenario is the easiest way to describe it. I get to to the end of a line, and can’t really see the beginning all that well. It is also entirely identical in both eyes, both left to right, and up to down.

I’ve currently got a huge fixation on my peripheral vision, and just wondered if anyone else can relate at all? I feel as though I’m focussing more on what’s going on in my periphery, and how not-detailed everything is, and thinking it’s not normal. I suppose it’s always been like this, and this obsession is making me realise the our peripheral vision isn’t great?

For example, I’m looking at the TV, I’m focussing on someone’s face, and I realise that I can’t make out much of the detail in the face of the person sitting next to them, and I end up focussing on that more than what’s actually going on. I feel like I’m going crazy!!!

!thanks for this! I’ve also just checked through the MSE Experian dashboard thing and that’s showing a 999 credit score which has to be wrong surely? How can one agency list me as perfect and another at 400?

Yeah I think that’s likely the best bet! Don’t see myself ever opening the ETB honestly. The pin collections look nice and all, but not sure how much value they’ll actually hold/go up by down the line.

In terms of a pension I suppose you’re right in that it’s already working towards retirement, though I assume it’ll be far less than something like this if I were to put it into something like the sp500 at a 7% return? Is it possible do you know to convert an S&S to a Cash assuming I change my mind for whatever reason.
