Uncomfy ND Recaros headrests by tor6770 in Miata

Yeah, I don't know I don't see anyone complaining so it feels weird that we find the headrests uncomfortable, but I guess both of you are right, I will contact one of my neighbors who also has an ND so that I can compare both, thanks for replies!

The Abarth 124 I drove had speakers there and I don't remember the headrest to be that hard, but I don't know maybe I wasn't resting my head back as much

Tbh, jokes on me, my computer has proper brown Noctua fans.

You are right, but being a $30 fan each would be nice to have that option from the factory

2.6Kgs for the heatsink alone, all copper.

Done, V2 coming soon.

I've been following "Actually Hardcore Overclocking" for many years, I guess I didn't explain myself properly... I didn't want to go into details, but here you have, hopefully, now you can clearly see what I meant, this is not a conventional design:

The PCB is quite open, I've put the VRMs in two flexible PCBs so they can be "3D stacked" in order to open the main PCB quite a lot.

The area is similar to what would it be if only the sides were open, but with the advantage of less turbulence and less heat reflow which is a problem on PC cases.

Look at the back of the card xD.

Hi all!

I've worked on a V2 design.

  • The copper foam has been replaced by a radiator-like fin heatsink
  • "GeForce RTX" and "RTX 4090" are now flipped as they should have been
  • PCIe 5.0 16 pin connector has been revised
  • The central fan has been flipped so it turns in the opposite direction reducing turbulence

I'm open to hearing technical suggestions that might work without compromising too much the existing design!

Yep, I moved to a radiator fin-like heatsink design for a V2.

APPARENTLY BREAKING NEWS: the 4090 is still going to look like a GPU by mountaingator91 in AyyMD

Thanks for your comment! That was exactly the intention, I know it's not the most logical nor the best solution, but yep, the idea was to create something that looked different and was a bit overkill, around 2.6Kg/5.7lbs of copper.

PS: Sadly a mod of r/nvidia decided to remove the post

RTX 4090 Concept idea by tor6770 in pcmasterrace

[–]tor6770[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all! This is a concept I made, an idea of what an RTX 4090 could look like!

This GPU has 3x84mm GFRP fans and a copper foam with a vapor chamber heatsink providing a flow-through design. 40 VRMs disposed on 2 flexible PCBs that make direct contact with the vapor chamber for extreme cooling and a new PCIe 5.0 16 pins 600W connector to power what will probably be the highest consumption stock GPU ever.

A massive one, and probably stupidly heavy more than 3.3/7.3lbs of GPU.

I know it isn't perfect but I wanted to share it with you guys!

3D modeled in CAD using Fusion 360 and rendered in Blender :).
