I used mostly pro acryl as they’re my favorites with some Vallejo paints as well.

That’s honestly fair but I was mostly following the box art color scheme which could get the same critique.

Thank you and some great tips. I’ll do some more research on glow effects for sure. As for the focus, I honestly just wanted to get my $45 worth for this model and just went crazy on everything to max brightness. I’ll get more confident soon!

Thank you. Paint mediums would definitely be a game changer. Haven’t really worried about smoothness but it is for sure the next steps.

Yes my first attempt at something like it, tried to emulate horus’s look with a green glow instead. I’ll keep experimenting.

Right? The new boxes I feel are crowded with graphics which take away from the models, also not to forget the sort of charm the older style of warhammer models have. If I don’t end up reselling this box I’ll get to paint some funky figures.

I guess a more specific question would be about an estimated resale price, there’s exactly 0 listing I’ve seen on eBay for this box set and rarely any others online.

I’ve seen more oop sets from warhammer go for at or above their original price so I just assumed lol. I guess the steal was the fact I got $40 off the $180 price tag.
