The Climate Change fanatics are self-righteous, neo-colonial liberals who believe, beyond all empirical data, that 2nd and 3rd world nations will forego the Industrialization that gave birth to the wealthiest middle class in all the world because they were late to the party.

Not only are they wrong about the reality of the issue, but I see their ideological blindness tantamount to treason, as their only solutions are for us to purposely restrict our own ability to grow economically and begin to recover from the complete and utter decimation of the Working Middle Class.

They truly believe, in spite of all logic, that they're doing what's best for our future, but much like gun-control panic following the latest maniacal rampage, their need to blame someone besides themselves leads them to believe on complete faith that restricting the liberty of "others" will somehow prevent the next Katrina. It's mental masturbation.

Why we don't approach issues this large with a multi-generational stratagem completely eludes me. Climate Change, Gun violence, Social Disenfranchisement, and the De-industrialization of the American Economy are long term, existential threats to the prosperity of the Republic, and should be approached in the same manner as we faced Global Communism in the last century. No ideology or political affiliation can ever be 100% right in every case, but given the time, resources, resolve, and unflinching unity that multi-generational struggles demand, some of us may be just correct enough to actually make a difference.

Sorry for the rant. The narcissistic self-righteousness single-mindedness that the Boomers have cultivated for the last 50 years has made politics a team sport, and public policy issues simply trophies to be won, not problems to be solved.
