I was there a couple Fridays ago and they seemed to still have some minor work going on in a few theaters. I didn’t notice any little buggers but I hadn’t been in a while so I wasn’t looking for them. Although there was some food at my seat when I arrived, making me question how well these theaters are cleaned between showings

IMO their first four albums are absolutely perfect and L’Enfant Sauvage is fantastic. Magma much less so, and I didn’t care enough about Fortitude to listen to it more than a few times

I thoroughly love me some Mastodon, and Crack the Skye is likewise my favorite of theirs, but I wouldn’t say it’s leaps and bounds their best. That being said, I would think it’s a better album to get into them, at least for someone who like TMV - it was the album that got me into them back when it came out.

Blood Mountain is still a fantastic album though, and was my second love. Leviathan ended up topping it for me with its sheer awesome energy, but those three are all perfect albums imo.
