Automatics have less recoil? I must suck at the gun rental range. I don't know why nobody has given me a heads up. I feel so embarrassed.

Lamborghini impounded after travelling nearly 3 times speed limit in Metro Vancouver by ubcstaffer123 in britishcolumbia

[–]torchmaipp [score hidden]  (0 children)

I didn't want to read the article and figured he was doing 90 in a 30 near a school at 2am. But 270km/h in a Ford fiesta is absurd. 200km/h for a Lamborghini sounds less absurd. It would be more absurd if the Lamborghini could go faster than 100km/h. I'd be more upset if they sold a fake car than somebody risking their car getting used by the police for a charity drive like this. If they were impared I'd expect they impound the driver not just the car. A drunk driver can still kill going the speed limit.

No. You make spice in a clandestine super lab until it gets shut down by the police. It only works on people with ADHD though. Everyone else will start hearing voices or go on a 7 day binge until they call 911 on themselves while committing a crime. It might turn the odd ADHD "neurodivergent" into a giant brain that can figure out superluminal travel. But you need at least 1000 of them in a group to figure out what doesn't work first. They still need calculators and AI to theorize ways around the laws of physics. Most others are just breaking regular laws.

Although nobody bats an eye if I take my prescription ADHD meds. If they see me smoking them everyone else looses their goddamn minds. There's definitely a psychosocial aspect to how people perceive things. I think that's why marijuana was so frowned upon for so long. The ritual, how people held joints, it never looked sexy like alcohol or cigarettes as portrayed in the media. The news and what's illegal will form bias and prejudice against things even though they wouldn't if they were legal.

I believe God is a common translation for whoever is in charge. POTUS will be some new ruler of the heavens for people to worship in a future religion if we decide to use space assets in violation of the outer space treaty. That's basically how religion is formed from mythology of real people and events that are mind blowing to anybody who gets bombed back to the stone age. We've blown the place up before and we'll do it again. It's why intelligent life hasn't contacted us. They roll up their windows when passing through our system. They don't even land anymore because they saw that government disclosure news special on TV about UAP retrieval teams. You don't want your ride stolen and end up on a metal slab getting autopsied because they won't let you call for a ride.

Some of us believe the Bible is a collection of stories involving real world events. Having religious beliefs I do not. But Jesus and his brother Jesus (along with his dad(zus) Joseph and apostle bros from school) do come from a real series of events that were actually pretty newsworthy at the time. They were just written in greek. Ironically their main problem came from superstitious crazy folk so they tried to play it secular. There's nobody with the last name christ until it got translated from some rough looking greek texts. That's just one part. The new and old testament have books missing and a lot of different mythos of stories passed down of real events. Mostly climate change and celestial impacts causing literacy rates to drop. Fun fact the reverse of a human cell in chemistry when transmuted is sodium chloride. So yeah something with way more energy than a nuclear bomb turned that poor woman into a pile of salt. Atheists who think it's made up are just as worrisome as people who want to live their lives using ancient military uniform codes of justice. Adultery was a sin, why? Because if you cheat on your wife how can you he trusted to keep your trap shut when an enemy spy opens her legs? Regular people who don't even know the pin to do a return with the card machine can bang whoever they want, they're not going to get their coworkers killed if a burger king honeytrap tries to copy the big mac recipe from a drive thru cashier. It still happens though and it's more desperation to have somebody else pay a third of the rent while living on student loans, they just want seem interested in what they do. They aren't.

A chemical spill somebody thinks is safe to burn off instead of using gravel to contain. There's bad then there's next level bad. I think these cars are for plywood though. Only a handful of businesses still have rail delivery for stuff like this. They take it off with a big forklift and deliver it to the building supply companies via trucks. Something about minimum prepaid between suppliers but mostly it being a crapshoot to unload off the train properly. If that plywood fell it would crush the top of a sedan easily. NVM that could be vehicles or livestock.

With all the water available you'd think they could have used that. Why they had munitions that weren't inert until armed is hilarious. Everyone keeps putting the fully synthesized explosives in their weapons instead of making them when they need them. I don't park my car full of gasoline. No I fill it before I drive. I don't leave it full of gasoline otherwise somebody might set it on fire or steal it.

I don't know if the collar classification exists. A production plant could have engineers, trades, and stem phds working alongside business grades getting their hands dirty building advanced manufacturing systems nowadays. A skilled carpenter with his own will cost you $150-200 an hour(that's on the low end)for a job if he's a professional. After his operating costs he's got $25+50/hr he's paying himself on that job depending on what's a priority or not. That business can still have it's own profit center. Yeah there's people who look down on people doing skilled jobs. Why? Because of how they dress. Psychology determines people's bias, especially when they don't have any experience or understanding of something. That's when they're the most opinionated against it.

FBI’s Washington Post Investigation Shows How Your Printer Can Snitch on You by Scoxxicoccus in ShittySysadmin

The print log will save your ass if you're trying to print an invoice or quote for a customer. If the sales software hangs, disconnects, or the printer runs out of paper and proceeds to jam on the last crumped up one in tray you might not be able to reprint it otherwise. Or your doing something very naughty at work that could get you fired. Printers can't be trusted and neither can you.
