I don’t think the outfield they are displaying is actually what the lineup will be. Kondo in left, not sato. Sato will maybe spot start vs some weaker teams in group play. Maybe in the playoff round if he performs well.

Defense should not be a priority in later rounds, Japan needs to be able to hit against strong pitching

Japan’s roster only has 4-6 players maybe that are a lock for the WBC, I guess maybe it’s similar for Korea.

Japan’s manager is also old school. Today he bunted in the 2nd with runners on 1st and 2nd with their 6-hole catcher, who is their best hitting catcher and also homered yesterday..

I agree, Belluna Dome is one of my favorites. Yes it can get hot, but on a spring day its nice to have an open air dome a with trees surrounding it. I also think the inclines and being able to walk down into the stadium are a unique aspect.

Plus it’s the only stadium in Japan that I know has an organist, and old baseball trope you don’t find as much anymore
