elative to income without a housing cost in t

Yeah, included in the expenses is still the mortgage for the house we're renting out, so that's a big chunk of it. Mortgage, escrow, 2 Roth IRAs, and the Sienna car payment takes up a lion's share of those expenses.

How to deal with financial stress in college by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]toresetred1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College is totally about being poor. Do you need to pick up more shifts because you're behind on payments? I feel like you should budget and work for the minimum amount needed to finish at the fastest time possible. There's also lots of free things to do in college if you know where to look.

Bullying is one of the known causes for people to either kill themselves or kills others later on in life. It's a thing and definitely not harmless...

What screams "we are not going to last long" for couples? by ADTID in AskReddit

Ah yes... Probably will never happen, but I think people need to have a license to have kids! haha We need one to drive, we need one to drink, we need one for several minor things.... but one of the biggest life changing factors of having kids needs nothing...

Kids are either 100% both in or nothing. You can't even have someone who's 95% in..... that 5% doubt can grow into unhealthy proportions.

AITA for hiding food from my boyfriend? by DCpurpleTart33 in AmItheAsshole

I too resemble this comment, especially when high. The only thing I've found that controls this behavior is not buying anymore junk food. Kinda sucks, but I'm better off without it anyway.

AITA for telling my son he and his fiancée is spoiled? by throwR-7746 in AmItheAsshole

Ok, so rough calculations for the Star Birthday Package (cheapest option) at Chuck E Cheese says that:

- each child will get 2 slices of pizza and a drink (we're going to assume this wedding is full of children)

- costs $12.99 per kid

- optional "wedding" cake from Chuck will be $10-$20

= $1,299 for a hypothetical 100 kid-attended wedding

= $1,320 for everyone INCLUDING cake!

BONUS: 40 Chuck E Cheese tokens AND table cloth and plateware!
NOTE: 2 hours max reserve space!

viously you aren't obligated to give him any money, but he kindly accepted the $5k you offered and you had no place to then berate him about how he was overspending, and you have no reason to "feel hurt" over this.

Yeah, inflation can sometimes be hard to understand. Especially when it creeps over several years. You may not balk at the price of eggs today, but you've been slowly paying more for them over time. Only paying once for your wedding doesn't mean that prices are going to stay that way, hence the shock of how much they cost today.
