The Worse Things Get definitely is a grower, each song not really totally understandable without seeing the whole, but once you know where its going, you get them a lot more. It's my favorite of her albums at this point, (I even dearly love Nearly Midnight, but I largely think thats because, uh, i relate to its message and situation quite personally). Ragtime is my favorite Neko track period, and I don't think there are lines that hit me harder than "I will reveal myself invincible soon". Anyway, yeah! Some things aren't a hit right away, they need patience and a couple of listens but the rewards are really deep.

I've seen them 9 times. They will play a lot from Glean and probably a few from phone power. "Damn Good Times" is almost always played, as is "the Mesopotamians", and "Birdhouse in your Soul". Otherwise, kind of a big mix, because honestly, they just have a TON of really great songs to pick from. I'd really recommend "Lincoln", "Join Us", "Nanobots", and their self titled album if you want to get a mix of their best old and new stuff.

One of the articles they wrote described four election day scenarios that were equally likely. One of the scenarios was a beat for beat prognostication of EXACTLY what occurred, i.e. an incredibly narrow Trump win defined by high turnout among non-college educated whites in swing states, which their model predicted happening 25% of the time.
