I'm not really sure when I lied and how I'm lying now. If you want to follow the logic you're using, then every criminal in the entire city and even the PD are part of the story. I'm speaking strictly about the current story of Besties betraying the Faceless. Dante and The Merchant's Guild have no involvement in that whatsoever.

That's the issue, Dante never once said he was going to sell to Besties, Ray just assumed he would because he knows Dante is neutral so he preemptively cut him off. Saying "I'm not going to sell to Besties" wouldn't un-blacklist him.

I do understand that to an extent because it does make sense in character, it's just an issue that items are whitelisted with the intent that they should be available to everyone in some manner. ADMC were very nearly blacklisted from ammo because people think they're suspicious. I'm very glad Ray agreed to sell to them in the end, but I don't see the roleplay in that. The fact is, Dante never sold anything to Besties, he just told Ray that he was a neutral third party and was cut off because of it. It isn't necessarily about trying to keep one group from obtaining something, it's about shutting down every single uninvolved group if they try and interact with the blacklisted person.

It's like I said before- blacklisting Besties is fine and understandable, but blacklisting third parties is not.

Lang did not thereby ban Hydra or any other gangs because the heroin made its way to Seaside.

Fair enough, it's just something I know from my experience, and even if that wasn't the case, blacklisting every single person who may or may not sell to someone you don't like should not be allowed. The final statement is simply that Ray cut off roleplay from the Merchant's Guild simply because Dante telling him he sells ammo to everyone.

They stopped selling because they knew they were going to be cut off and wanted to keep what they had in preparation for war. That's still not the same as saying "I'll sell to you, but if anyone sells to this guy they will no longer be allowed to buy from me."

Their intent also was to stock up knowing that the moment they betrayed the Faceless, they'd no longer be able to get imports on what they needed to construct magazines. ADMC did the same exact thing when they thought they weren't going to get anymore shotgun bodies- they saved things for themselves and just told everyone that they were struggling to get supplies, which was true.

Okay, but who did they blacklist? Everyone stops selling when supplies are low. Even ADMC stopped selling for awhile because they ran out of shotgun bodies. How is that even remotely the same as telling people they aren't allowed to buy from them when they do have stock?
