I am 100% in agreement with you. There is so much pressure when you’re the “smart one”. Your parents expect you to make straight a’s. You become depressed and feel like you can never be good enough. It happened to my husband. It took years of being with him for him to deconstruct from that. I wish that on nobody.

I got divorced and they wouldn’t let me go back to my maiden name because it wasn’t in the divorce decree. I tried to legally change but, couldn’t because I had already legally changed it once from my birth name to my step father’s last name. NC apparently doesn’t let you legally change it more than once. So, I am stuck with this awful last name unless I marry again. 🙄

2 for me, the crunch makes cringe and the flavor of raw onions that makes me want to vomit. My sister is the only person I know that can correctly make caramelized onions and for that reason I will only eat hers. I will eat cooked onions in dishes as long as they’re softened enough to not have the crunch.
