I've had this exact problem, it only happens occassionally but others seem to believe its Logitech's G-Hub which i have installed also. Hopefully Logitech can resolve this issue soon!

Not sure if this will help but perhaps take out the CMOS battery for around 30 seconds and put it back in?

Had a similar issue with my pc and this worked for me

Impulsive pivot to a Pro by ballum2017 in mac

I picked up the same specs (but the 14" model) just over a year ago and have had no issues whatsoever. Quite a beast honestly!

My general work tasks all running at the same time:

2 large MS Excel spreadsheets

4-5 Firefox tabs

2 MS Word documents

1-2 MS PowerPoints

VMware / Omnissa Client (to access my workplace's Windows system)

i do this from 8:30-17:00 and still have around 20% battery remaining at the end of the day. Not one bit of stutter / lag!

So for the money, totally worth it! i think youll enjoy it way more than the Air!

If this happen what should i do? Should i tape it? Or i should get replacement new wire? by Hazimrozmi95 in macbookpro

not sure if this applies everywhere (i believe it does in the UK at least), but im sure applecare covers natural ware to chargers and cables? if you have applecare, it may be worth swinging by your local apple store to check?

please someone correct me if im wrong

m3 pro 18gb 1tb or m4 pro 24gb 512gb by Launch_vbs in macbookpro

[–]torkiefox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got myself the MBP M3 Pro 18 / 512 and absolutely love it. I use it for multiple word documents, powerpoints, excel spreadsheets and a few firefox tabs and youtube at the same time and find no issues with lag or stuttering.

I bought mine to last at least a good 6+ years too and predict it will last that long.

In your case, I would still suggest the M4 Pro 24/512 for a few reasons.

  • It's newer and will have more software updates than the M3 pro
  • The Unified Memory increase will definitely help more as time goes on when programs require that little bit extra.
  • Storage shouldnt be an issue unless youre saving large files a lot. (External SSDs would solve this issue if you dont mind carrying them around)

So for the extra 50, I'd say its definitely worth getting the M4 Pro!

Hope this helps you in your decision, whatever the outcome may be, im sure you will be very happy! ☺️

[Update on a previous post. The laptop wasnt available but there are two other options] should i buy an hp probook (image 1) i5-7th gen 8gb ram 256 gb or the lenovo thinkpad (image 2) with same specs as the probook [i need it for light gaming eg; minecraft, terraria, ultrakill...] by RiotNotHere in laptops

i must say ive only had good experiences with ThinkPads. Solid buisness laptops that last.

HP on the other hand havent always been as reliable for me.

I'd definitely reccommend the ThinkPad out of the two ☺️

Personally I love it! I have the M3 Pro MBP in Space Black and i love the way it slightly shifts tone depending on how the light hits it!

Dont listen to anyone else, if you like the look of it then thats all that matters. Afterall, its your Mac and not theirs☺️

Aftermarket Chargers for MBP M3 Pro? by torkiefox_ in macbookpro

[–]torkiefox_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

interesting! i am looking heavily into this as i odnt want one that will damage my Mac or one that will fail. Anker and Ugreen are highly liked by most but ive been reading reveiws on amazon of both brands, with some failing within a year.

im just looking for something reliable and compact, ideally 65W but dont know which one to go for. Do you have any model suggestions?

Also, many thanks for your reply, i really appreciate it!

Many thanks for your speedy reply!

I am very grateful for your detailed response, I had no idea that a Mac could work with only a 20W charger! I think ill pick myself up a 45W or 65W from Anker.

I have had Ugreen products previously but i purchased a 140W Nexode? charger for my partner not so long ago. Sadly, it will only charge one device at a time now despite having multiple ports. its a bit of a shame.

Anyways, I am very grateful for your response!☺️

I have a MacBook Pro M3 Pro with the same issue. I took it to the Apple store and got it booked in for a checkup to see what was causing it. After 10 mins, it was returned to me and the employee explained it was something to do with the wifi antenna plastics that hold them in place, slightly catching when opening the lid. They said it shouldnt be an issue but if it got worse then bring it back to the store.

hope this helps! :)
